Renaissance Pleasure Faire (15 October 1994)

Memories wandering around the Black Point oak forest setting in Marin, here is my video of the 28th annual Renaissance Pleasure Faire. Known for its re-creation of a county fair and market place in the Age of Discovery, the time when Elizabeth I ruled and merrymaking was pretty much a civic duty.

I definitely remember that Queen. That was/is a really beautiful area to have the fayre. We lived closer to the Glen Helen Ren Pl. Fayre. We went from 1990 to 2002, & then they lost the location & moved it to Santa Fe Dam. When I watch the Santa Fe Fayre videos it sorta looks like they lost the magic.

Oh wow. One of those hats in the group of Town Criers ringing the bells as the parade past is my wife. This is the year we both started working Faire, met, and fell in love.

There is no other way to describe the renaissance pleasure faire while it was at Black Point in Novato other than Magical.
There was just something about that place... magical.
I was heartbroken when it ended. Glad I had the opportunity to work & play there.

Yes this is the Northern faire in Marin county . I spent every summer for as far back as I can remember up until the very last . I miss it more than I can say.
