All I can say is that when I was selling $10,000 stereos, including McIntosh, Infinity, and JBL, it was very important to volume equalize the speakers. A medium priced no name speaker will usually sound better to the untrained ear, than a JBL studio monitor, if it is playing slightly louder. Especially if it has over emphasized and boomy, yet distorted bass. One method would be to use a dbSPL meter and set it so that the two speakers are playing at exactly the same loudness at 1khz. I say, one method, because some speakers have a ridiculous boomy base that is actually giving you the second harmonic of the actual note, and sounds like it has more bass, when actually you are listening to distortion. So sometimes you have to actually take the average level. A better way to do it is to try different volume levels on both speakers and then you can tell if the highs are crisper, and the lows are tight. To judge a speaker based on percent volume level is ridiculous. You can set one of them at 50% and the other one at 50% and if one amplifier puts out an additional 5 watts, then even a cheaper speaker will usually sound better to the untrained ear, especially if it has louder boomy bass instead of tight bass. I'm not saying that the HD-Max speaker is actually better. I'm saying that I can't tell. So that makes this review pretty useless in my opinion. Other than that, I like the no nonsense way that the review is handled, I just think that the reviewer is doing the audience a disservice by using his chosen method of comparing the sound of one product versus the other. Amplifier power is cheap. Speakers with somewhat flat frequency response, not cheap, and actually, hard to come by at any price. B😎B
Man… you said McIntosh!! I haven’t seen those amps since like 1999. I remember my local car audio shop sold them. I use to always say “ I’m going to get one of those one day”… and the amp was 10,000 dollars 😂😂
You need to stop doing these videos kosher, you're killing it !! Lol....another amazing comparison video, you saved me alot of time, money and headaches, I know exactly what to get next, major props and thanks brother. 💯👍
I have the same design of speaker by the name Neocore A4 Tsunami and when you press the button it changes colour Green or Blue to indicate Indoor or Outdoor mode.
Hey Kosh, love all of your vids. I have tried all JBL's, way overpriced. I just got the Treblab today and I have to tell you that it blew away the JBL Extreme 3, maybe you had a defective unit. Just my little old "2 cents" Thanks Man..
I've seen this speaker with different makes as the W-king D3 pro which I saw for $132 and Boat Stone 1500 but I don't know the price cause it's not sold here. I also saw it as another make but I can't remember the name. This is what I was asking about chinese speakers using the same design but different name. But I can tell it ain't worth $200.
I just got mine and I'm very disappointed in the sound. It is not as loud as I thought, I have to play it at max volume and it's still not that loud and the passive radiators on the side barely moves when playing heavy bass songs. I'm returning it.
Me too!! I just got it and I’m not as impressed as I thought I would be. Do you know of any other speakers you would recommend? I’m considering the w-king d9 or something similar with 60-70 watts. It’s hard to make a decision though because there are so many different speakers out there.🤷🏾♂️
I bought the treblab hd max and I have to admit I’m not as impressed as I thought I would be. I watched a few reviews and thought this speaker would be louder and have more bass but it really doesn’t. I might return it.

Treblab HD Maxx sounds very good and Clean it doesn't distort either, I do agree with the Charging Port it's placed in a bad spot
I think you're supposed to press and hold the play button to switch modes.
Can you play it when it changes? I just got one and waiting for it now
