I could understand that but where does the pistol go? There is no molle inside to hold a holster. Is it loose in the pack shifting around? What do you think?
@@GeorgeDEFINED you know what? You are right. This is the first maxpedition pack I've seen that doesnt have a dedicated gun compartment. Wow.... I carry the lv6 and keep my pistol in that when I'm wearing sweats and dont have room on my body for a holster 😂
@@GeorgeDEFINED like i said i have the same backpack but i would not recommend carrying a fire arm in it or any other backpack for that matter i always carry it in my person. in the backpack i only carry an extra mag. For my glock 26😉
Great video. I picked this exact bag in black on Friday and as a 5.11 gear user i was amazed. The comfort while walking around for a few hours with this bag was superb! I was able to fit my 13” MacBook Pro, iPad Pro 11”, 2 iPhones, med pouch, notebook and Yeti 36oz bottle along with other admin stuff. I agree i love the zippers and the more you use them the better they work! Overall great backpack- it might be my favorite so far! It just works!
Fellow bag nerd checking in! Finally sourced one of these out after wanting one for a while. You're dead right on the fact that this pack is for a very specific user. My idea is a minimal tech and gear bag for going to work for 24 hour shifts. Laptop, ipad mini, chargers, basic tech, mouse, second set of work clothes and other misc items. Hoping this is the right pack as I have tried many to get the right one for this specific need. Problem I have is if I use a 25L+ pack I always tend to overpack, and the smaller packs in this size range aren't well suited for tech items. The pack comes in a few days and super excited! Only wish is that I could have gotten it in grey or black...but being out of production I had to take what I could get.
Shoot man that pack is lookin clean. Maxpedition has changed since their older bags. I still have the falcon back pack in grey foliage and it still looks new. Great review on some great high quality hard use gear. Also, I’m diggin the background of your new studio bro! Lovin it!
Nice review George. I too have the lithvore. I love it for edc because of its small size. Since i only use wireless earbuds i get more room to carry all my edc stuff including a change of clothes. If i need to carry more i use its bigger brother the riftcore which is 24l. The only complaint i had with these bags are the ends of the molle on the straps. it dug in to my shoulder when they were new, now that they've broken in its all good. Kinda expensive though but worth it. For a small edc backpack this, my Vanquest katara 16 and msm adapt pack are my favourites. Cheers!
@@marrngtn though i love the look, organization capabilities and comfort of the katara 16 more, adding water bottle pouches on its side is a pain. Since my bottle is what i access the most i tend to use the lithvore more. Another advantage of the lithvore is if im carrying the taller nalgene on the lithvore i can add bungee to the molle above the pouches to hold the bottle tight to the bag. Cheers!
Thanks man. Almost asked last video to review some maxpedition Been rocking the carhartt legacy bag since seeing your review. Thanks and great job, love the opening clips you do
Thanks for the video George. :) As you said it's about the motion in the ocean :D. In my humble opinion this is the best (realistic) EDC backpack I can carry.
They make another line of bags that is even more “greyman “ with a bunch of sizes that also have ccw pockets. Will you start showing if the bag will stand up on its own?
So I’ve been using the falcon ii for a good number of years now. I love the bag but it does look like I’m going to war. I’ve tried a bunch of other bags but I can’t seem to get away from the falcon. Any recommendations?
You should look into Vanquest, if I'm correct it was founded with some people from Maxpedition that in my opinion make better products. You'll definitely see the similarities, also great video George.
Glad to know they are still building high quality gear. I've always wondered about their new lines. I've bought so many Fatboys and Jumbos for family to use as Travel or emergency Bags and they are super well made. Have they built a bag looking for a user or use case? Every once in a while I see a good deal on a Mongo and consider pulling the trigger.
Damn Son, you stay buying bags more than me. I just had a 1000.00 kifaru order land yesterday. You MAY want to think of a recording room with ALL the packs on the wall or something to that effect.
George I’m torn between this backpack and the mystery ranch ASAP you reviewed, if had to pick one which would it be!?? Thanks man. I don’t carry a lot, flashlight, knife, simple things. First aid kit
The finger pulls themselves are great, The way they are mounted is lousy. They are mounted sideways simply because it’s easier and when you pull them to open the pouch or opening, they torque the zipper head sideways and makes the opening experience far less than smooth.
Great review George! Just found your channel and definitely subscribed and binged a bunch of your bag reviews. Was wondering if you would be able to review the new Osprey Arcane Large Day? I haven’t seen any reviews at all and I’m intrigued in the size of their hidden water bottle compartment. Cheers!
Yes i use this backpack for my trip to universal studios and other theme parks and i have to say it's was quite comfortable!! and it also is my edc backpack
This is exactly what I have been looking for no BS! I wanted a pack like the Blackhawk 3 Day Assault with some organization inside.. Man! So great! I'm going to order their Guardian pack.. Is there another one you recommend? Thanks again
George DEFINED I have the EDC backpack! I think it’s the best bang for your buck when it comes to materials. You get 500D cordura fabric, woo jin buckles, ykk zippers all for under $60 dollars shipped on amazon. You can’t beat that deal.
So I can perfectly understand this not being a good edc for someone carrying a laptop and recording equipment but I see a perfect emergency bag setup. I say emergency bag meaning having some first aid some tools and car recovery equipment in it. It's small so you won't be tempted to put to much but also maybe a get home bag set up as well. I have personally never owned a maxpedition bag but if the quality is as good as you say then I would definitely consider using it for that. The small bit of laser cut molle on the side is perfect for a cat. You can attach a bigger med pack on the front and then have you shelter solution in the big pouch fire starting on the side. I think it could be perfect for a different use. But everyday commuter pack.....far from it.
You make an excellent point.. This pack for me would be perfect for a trip to amusement park or walking around in the city but I can't justify the price for those limited occasions. I need more versatility.. See ya
Terrance LeShore Have you considered a Goruck Heritage GR1? If you look on Amazon there is a.reasonable facsimile under the name Palladin in a slick front Balistic Nylon Version at 1/2 the price.
Some of the agr series backpacks are nice but the entity series the look like diaper bags 🤮 i dont usually like it when a tactical bag makes the switch to “gray man “ style
It's for a guy that wants a gun. Some magazines. And a knife and pen. Shit that goes with carrying a gun

Thanks for the detailed review of this bag. Looks like a perfect size for me.
I purchased this bag based on your review and love it. Great for day hikes. Could work well for EDC. The simple internal layout works great for me.
Great review!
Thanks for sharing
I have the Riftcore, it’s 23 liters and i like it, but i wish they made it the main compartment 1 more inch in width, currently it’s only 3.5 inches.
I have heard good things about the Riftcore... I will defiantly circle back this year.. Be Safe

Great vid George, helping guide my choice away from this bag.
Would love a review for the vanquest katara and trident 20.
Love the old recon packs
Small backpacks are the future.

Great video. I wish I'd seen it before I'd purchased my bag. $150 US is $230 AUD plus delivery. A very expensive error.

This is a nice bag but comparing it to the Falcon II in the same price range it pales in quality comparison. Agree?

Is that the grey color? the color looks very different in the pics 😮

I'm sure it's a quality bag, but for what I carry, it's too small and that price is too high. Probably go with a Swiss Gear.
