My impression? Most wanted to get home quickly to a dry and warm place, with a hot beverage and warm meal. You probably too after this walk. Although dark, I recognized Seishin Gakuin signage. Off the bat, i can think of two prominent women, still among us, who attended this renown school. I think you passed by at least three shrines during the walk. So serenely tucked away from the main traffic but quietly alluring. And who could just walk by the daycare center for dogs? All ready to be picked-up by their "masters" at the end of the day! Yeah, you are right! I had no idea that a "Platinum" Don Quijote even existed. But now that I think about it, it's a clever idea. Shirokanedai is one of the wealthiest neighborhoods, and when I saw the sign, I thought Don Quijote didn't really fit in there. But by branding it as "Platinum," I think it blends in with the neighborhood.

His wealth was so immense that the region was named after it, giving birth to the neighborhood we know today. Silver and platinum. These are two of the most common precious metals. Clever!
