Before me and my gf broke up, we were in a tough spot in our relationship and I sent her this song and she called me in tears. At that point, NF saved our relationship. Even though our relationship didn't last, this is still one of my favorite songs
I like your reviews because NF is a talented rapper and lyrically amazing, but not enough attention gets paid to his video production. They feel like mini movies!
I mean, to be fair, he did say "I don't know if I'm making movies or music videos" 😅 In a time where most pop and rap videos don't have a "story", it's lovely to have these well thought-out and planned videos, with easter eggs and amazing production.
one of the only reaction channels that i watch their videos all the way through, you actually add value instead of just reacting to the preexisting value, Keep it up!
two more NF videos i think you'd like to review are I just wanna know, and "If you want love" If you want love is my favorite nf song and the video hits you in the feels.
I'm fascinated by the passion and accuracy you analyse all the videos. Even though you taught yourself everything, it looks very professional and skilful. I love your NF reactions! And I also love the fact that you analyse the meaning and the story of the videos only by looking at the filming, the cuts and the atmosphere of the video. Keep up the good work!
I know this was 3 months ago you reacted but it might be interesting for you to note that when they first meet (at the end there) the lighting in the dinner is happy and bright. Earlier in the video at that same dinner all the lights but 1 is off and looks run down and broken down, like their relationship. The last light holding on by a thread just like them.
I like how the colors become slightly warmer when it tells the 'before' story, all those happy times they spent together even just brushing their teeth in the morning. Also I love that you included some footage from 'Donnie Darko'. It would be interesting to hear from you about your favorite movies. I believe many people would be happy to find another reason to love a movie they liked but from a different standpoint, sort of reintroduce themselves to a movie, especially if it's an older one. Anyway, I love your reactions. Keep up the work!
This song has helped me through a lot of break ups, that's crazy! NF hits hard on the topics that can affect an individual so well! You're amazing Jonathan!
Ugh, the lighting is everything for me in this video. My friend is currently studying cinematography and used this video as inspiration for an end of term project.
I really enjoy how you manage to break down the inner workings of some of the shots and explain them even to a liaison as myself. There is really a lot things I don’t pay attention to in detail that have a great effect on the storytelling. Love your content 👍
I've watched a handful of your videos today and I must thank you for teaching me the term "oner". I've always called it a continuous shot and was not aware of it being also called oner (I believe that the correct spelling!) I do Media Production and watching a prolific filmmaker react and analyse professionally produced videos is now something I look forward to! I will be looking forward to more of your videos! Thank you, Jonathan!
I love the way you break things down, I’ve had an interest in making short films and stories but I honestly have no idea where to start, I appreciate this so much!!
This content is always the best. And you are such a nice person. I was actually NEEDING someone who love watching and analysing not only the song, but the video. I know you dont act like this, you have your time and your own schedule, but I would love to see how you analyze In Love with the Pain from Blackstone Cherry. Anyways, as always, love from spain. You are the BEST!!!
Jonathan! The music video for Greta Van Fleets, "Meeting The Master" Single just released and I think you would LOVE the video. It is very interesting.
Your videos are an absolute joy to watch. Hundreds if not thousands of videos have reacted to the music. You are one of the few that have reacted from a completely different artform perspective to really show the genius of NF and the directors and artists around him to make such great content. Thank you for the more technical aspects of these music videos. Its very very interesting to see.
Thank you so much! I’m learning to love NF even more! And I love how so much goes into beautiful shots- thanks for your insights! Can you please do “Grow As We Go” by Ben Platt? Beautiful and makes me cry.
Another great reaction. You are definitely one of my top reactors to watch. I am trying to keep up with each one. You ever think about shooting any music videos? I am sure there are artists out there that you could definitely connect with!!
A big hug for you my friend Jonathan!!!...No one better than you, to make a reaction video and analyze this incredible singer who is leaving all the experts, literally with their jaws on the floor (Do you remember Jim Carrey's movie "The Mask"? well, just like that)...In 2017, a 22-year-old singer from Kazakhstan, named Dimash Kudaibergen, was invited to participate in the famous Chinese program for professional singers called "The Singer"... In his first appearance, Dimash covered one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse"...Since then all this madness began on the internet, RUclips and social networks worldwide and he is already considered the best singer on the entire planet... It is almost impossible to see a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges of 8 octaves, that is, the 88 keys of a digital piano, which allows him to reach all registers, both masculine and feminine, that is, he can sing as Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Contratenor, Contralto, Mezzosoprano and Soprano...You can see in RUclips to all kinds of experts (Vocal coaches, analysts, singing teachers, singers, youtubers, reactors, etc.), who have dedicated themselves to watching his videos and verifying for themselves that what is said about him is completely true...In addition to all this, Dimash is capable of singing in more than 12 languages...In all his concerts worldwide, tickets are sold in just seconds, via the internet, due to the immense popularity he has worldwide... Anyway, I think you haven't met this impressive singer yet, so here is the link to the first song that Dimash performed in China in that year 2017, the song S.O.S., and if it doesn't bother you, I would like you to mention me as the person who recommended it to you...Warning: You have to be prepared for thousands of views, comments and new subscribers...The video It is more recent, so it does not have the millions of views that the first ones, but it is more complete, including an intro, subtitles in several languages and better audio and sound quality...ruclips.net/video/bDX3FhmyNac/видео.html
Hey, I'm a bit late to this video, but if you're looking for more video reactions, I suggest taking a look at Drowning by Mick Jenkins. It has a bunch of unique camera effects, but I'm no filmmaker.
I would love to see something you did that I could learn from. Im doing one shot mostly, being a graphic artist (writer too. Mostly everyone has said im better with writing.) I have other talents, but not music!! Lol NF is amazing.as a graphic person (& maya user) lighting, color and shapes are so important. Im loving your critques, i cant get enough!! You're AWESOME! I know creatives, at least i know do this, tear up videos to movies, its hard to shut me up! Lol i thonk i have adhd! I get soooo excited! Thanks!!
Hi Jonathon :) ! Brand new subscriber today in Washington State. I have absolutely always loved filmmaking and the artistry and creativity behind it. I was researching professional reviews of film--and your channel popped up. Your reviews are spot on I think :) ! Nothing hits the soul like film and music. Keep up the hard work ! You are clearly in the right field of work :) ! Also--three of my favorite official music videos are "All The Pretty Girls" by Kaleo. And "Halocene" by Bon Iver and "Style" by Taylor Swift. All very artistic. You should check those out sometime :) .
Another great reaction and video breakdown. I think you'd enjoy some of Jackson Wang's videos. He's a singer from Hong Kong and has some really great videos. I think my favorite so far is "100 Ways" but "Come Alive" and "Blow" are also fantastic videos. I'm including the links below. Interesting sets, lighting, choreography, and even some good Foley effects in his videos. Hopefully you get a chance to check them out. Keep up the great work! 100 Ways - ruclips.net/video/87VRaM5_bAE/видео.html Come Alive - ruclips.net/video/WvIBitkrdL8/видео.html Blow - ruclips.net/video/qCZHarOQvc4/видео.html
You are an incredibly talented individual when it comes to analyzing things like these types of videos, BUT HOW IN THE HELL DID YOU SEE A SHOT FROM ABOVE THE GIRL AND IMMEDIATELY GO YEP THATS A TRIPOD???
You should react to Childish Gambino - Sweatpants! It's a few years old, but it's a really really cool "one shot" with lighting and different effects I think you will really enjoy. Keep up the videos! They're great.
Hi omg I love your reactions and input on all these music videos amazing Ps my favorite artist is Shawn mendes and I was wondering if u could please react to mercy 😊❤ Ps it’s great , thanks ☺️
Love your reactions and the technical feedbacks. I would love to hear you reaction on some video clip of dizzy dros ( moroccan rapper) and they are working really hard to improve the quality of video and rap music in general…🙏🏼
Your videos are awesome!! Not too many people really look at the cinematography side of music, and it's cool to see your take! You should watch "hip to be scared". It's by Ice Nine Kills. All of there songs on this album are based on 80s horror movies! This song is based off American Psyco. All of the music videos combine to make a movie. You can watch it all the way though or piece by piece. But there is a full cinimatic version with story in-between. I hope you check it out! I want to know what you think!
Check out Tom MacDonald. He is an independent artist and his gf Nova Rockefeller films and edits his videos. There are many songs to start with, “Dear Rappers” is what blew him up but Nova’s skills are shown better in a song like “Best Rapper Ever”
Before me and my gf broke up, we were in a tough spot in our relationship and I sent her this song and she called me in tears. At that point, NF saved our relationship. Even though our relationship didn't last, this is still one of my favorite songs
