He's a 6'8" clown who has been refining this act for awhile, and as can be seen on RUclips. He trained at a clown school...they exist. It is comedy, parody, and goofiness. Like most great comedians, his wit is quick, cutting, and precise. That he makes it look effortless and simple and 'clownish' is the genius of his act. I am positive he studied the personalities of the judges and MCs so he was able to both follow a script and improv as needed, both trained skills that take years of effort. And a lot of natural talent. There were some mind boggling acts this year that deserved, and got, recognition. But the People voted, and for this Viggo is not culpable in the other acts losing the big prize. Be grateful you got to experience their beauty and talents. Peace.
Yep, the greatest trick that Viggo ever pulled was convincing the world this comes easy. Everything about all 3 rounds was well prepared and executed, plus using every ounce of natural charisma, humour and likeability that he has in truckloads.

True. Before he went to Gaulier’s clown/theatre school in Etampes, Paris he says he was forcing it, trying to be funny (paraphrasing from an interview in Norwegian). He did 2 years at Gaulier, finishing about 6 years ago. Touring, gigging & teaching clown workshops ever since. I first saw him perform in a pub in Oslo, doing improv with a group (about 8-9 years ago?), then later saw him doing clown on a farm in Norway and at Edinburgh fringe (solo show & duo with Zack Zucker) about 6 years ago. Those performances were amazing. About 3-4 years ago I saw him
perform clown stuff for a Norwegian audience at a comedy club in Oslo (nieu scene - he mentions it in his finals bit) and it didn’t go over so well- actually some of the audience seemed really angry… So it’s cool that it resonated so well with so many. Maybe with BGT people have an open mind and are just ready to be entertained & joyful rather than having expectations about seeing “comedy”. I’m so curious to see what Viggo will do next! 🫶

I honestly can't understand how something so simple can make me so happy. Though it could be the unpretentiousness.
It's like he's not just saying "Let's have fun", he's _also_ saying "Relax, it's going to be fine, don't make such a big deal out of things"

Viggo went to clown school in Paris at Ecole Philippe Gaulier. Was trained under Philippe Gaulier himself.

I almost peed in my pants when he fell off stage. His slapstick body language, facial expressions and pure joy keep me laughing over and over.

definitely, but don't doubt the level of preparation that went into that from playing to the positioning of the cameras, to the build up of elements, to controlling the nerves to give such a casual looking performance on the biggest stage of your life. In all 3 rounds he executed his act without putting a foot wrong. The timing to sweep the stage or fall down the stairs. The guy is a legend.

Nobody has made me laugh so hard on Britain's got Talent, he's amazing, what a talent!!! Well deserved winner. I really loved last year's winner too Axel Blake, a great stand up comedian. Wow two years in a row for comedy.

This guy really made all of Britain go crazy for him. It's no wonder he won this semi final in a landslide and even had the whole audience including Bruno chanting his name.
Viggo has done one thing perfectly......he established "HI-VIS" as his comedy brand.
His audition is Norwegian humour taken to such an extreme that it wouldn't stand a chanse anywhere but in Britain. - Norway included

Yes he meant it...also "fell off the stage" at the start of his act.
It was slapstick and intentional. He probably had a mat down there, you'll notice they used a distant camera for the shot.
He's a professional clown (as in went to clown school). They intentionally fall down all the time. They're meant to have a "clumsy underdog" kind of vibe
