I don't know what the hacker want from me but I am very sure that a hacker hacked my pc and is trying to get in no matter what I do everytime my pc got laggged and online youtube video started making stuttering sound and heavy I run cmd only to find an ip address with a port number and windowshellhost running..its annoying the bad part is I neither want to format my harddrive nor make changes to my editing softwares which took some heavy gig while downloading or installing...Any idea how to stop this hacker ?

If the hacker has another machine in the network through which he can plant powershell scripts onto a target machine , then formatting drive or using a new drive would be of no use.

That works too, there is no reason why a full, fresh, clean Windows install should carry over stuff from an old install you completely wiped out. Do a low level format, then reinstall everything.

It could be not a separate process, but a thread inside legitimate process. Also, trojan can add himself to exclusion list without completely disabling antivirus
When you boot your PC to the desktop and you see cmd shells load and flash for less than a few seconds, you got pawned!

When checking the netstat, I usually see a list of 50 different things. How can one tell from the ip addresses that it's from a questionable source?

you should include a lil more explanation for the netstat one, i got on a wild goose chase thinking i was hacked to find out the strange number i was seeing was also a temp ip my computer uses. unless this is some ploy by the hacker i have no idea. i also see powershell just start up sometimes in task manager for no reason im aware of, is this normal?
Great stuff, love your channel.
Journalists or really anyone who is looking into politicians or any form of government should always use a hardware key such as Google Titan and others. Also, if you suspect your computer was compromised then you really need to throw the ashes in the dumpster. It's not just your hard drive, any form of memory such as RAM holds data etc.. don't forget your mac addresses can be matched to your hardware. Best practice is to carry a portable Linux.

this was the policy for many years where i worked, though it wasnt as simple as saying to the customer, yes you are corrupt we will format your drive but it was the best solution :)

Question, when I went into my firewall it says Private networks, connected and guest or public networks not connected. Both with red X's on there. It has a notification saying these settings are being managed by vendor application Mcafee Personal Firewall. Is that ok? Should I turn it on? This seems rather odd. I mean I do have McAfee but should these settings be off as well?

recently my pc went slow although it has a fast ssd so i thought it would be because of more usage so i ignored it then i turned on camera it said it is already getting used by another app while there is no such tab open that can use camera then i thought to restart and when i clicked restart it there was a tab with no name and a local host window stopping it from restarting and the other thing was i cant open my windos update window
