Ive been fascinated by this story since i was in middle school in 1978 , ive kept an eye on any published articles on the story pre Internet days , it was sizeable news in that time period, and never once , not once did i ever hear or read that the Warrens were involved, i purchased the dvd of the conjuring when it came out and and found it in the most part to be a work of fiction. Not many 1970s stories held my attention like the Enfield hauntings , but being 8 in 1978 my fellow classmates and i were talking about this for some time, it made an indelible mark on us .
I agree 100%, them warrdens had nothing to do with the Enfield happenings what so ever. Hollywood had a movie to make so just decided to add them for the American audience's i guess 🤔
The Police see enough, that they refused to go bk. The girls started playing up to the camera while Maurice was their, they faked alot of it, but their was a presence there.That silly voice she put on was ridiculous. I would walk past the house, on occasion, but being a teenager, I still would not look into the house.
If two people saw the same bloke run out of a bank having robbed the place, their testimony would put that bloke away. Dodgy story but some of it is legitimate. Not all blokes are nonces, either.
I lived in Enfield for many years and totally believe this. I lived at the time in an old house and an entity tried to drag me out of my bed. He said his name was Jack and he had died in the great fire of London! To this day i wear a cross and chain. Enfield has nany underground streams and rivers (Thames Water have a spare resevoir there) ...i strongly believe that water attracts these entities!
I suggest you do better research. Social workers and Doctors were involved and psychiatric evaluation from the Maudsley hospital was obtained,. There were around 50 witnesses. There were also PK tests done in the Physics department of a London university, where Janet bent metal under test conditions. The data and results are published online.Guy Playfair was a world expert in such phenomena. With respect, he had slightly more experience in such matters then yourself.
@JoeFarrell-e3f yes they were published and now laughed at. No one has ever bent metal under real scientific testing , restrictions have always been put on the test and the results. Zinc spoons were often used so they would bend under studio lights or when warmed between fingers. In the past Janet Haa admitted they faked many parts of what happened. She they changed her story again when media offered her money for tv shows or to tell the story as a movie.
@@ShaneRalph77 can you put links to your claim ?I suspect your information comes from a couple of skeptics who themselves have been debunked on this case. As for James Randis tests, usually on cranks,anyone who Googles them on you tube will clearly see the biased environmental conditions they were conducted under. If Janet's memory has changed since 1977, that's normal and does not change what Fifty odd witnesses including many professionals witnessed
@@ShaneRalph77 There are three possibilities. 1) Janet was the best conjurer in history and fooled multiple people over 18 months. 2) The people who claimed to witness the events over an 18 month period and were often independent of each other suffered from mass hallucinations. Or 3) Although she sometimes played tricks, much of what was witnessed actually happened. In terms of changing stories, it was 47 odd years ago, recollections often change over time.
My thoughts are,why would they have kept up with the lie all these years,I struggle to believe that young girls could keep up with the so called acting for so long, surly the girls would have become board of the prank and given them selves away,a trained actor as to work really hard to play out a a roll and they are trained people, will we ever know the full story truth or lie, it's difficult to say if it happened or not unless you were present at the time,I believe something happened in that house which badly affected the family, could they have staged it all no way, would it be handled different today yes because of child protection,I always think if I witnessed something,the problem to convince others would be I'm sure almost impossible,so as things stand I believe something happened,I would love to be proven wrong, let's try to stay open minded about stuff until more is revealed?
Maurice Grosse was a member of our group and ive heard all the recordings and talked to him about it, Maurice was convinced this was a real situation As for Maurice and the two girls i dont believe for one minute that the girls were in any danger from him or Guy. His son also clarified that the voice wanted to know why these people were in his house and that he would set his dogs on them, his son verified that his father did have dogs and that the voice had a slight northern accent just like his father
