Friendly advice from a zed player, you can ult first and wait for the enemy to use their flashes, then you can cast your shadow for gap close... dont buy project zed because the ulti is telegraphed
Rod of ages is a lot more viable for galio imo coz it gives a lot more tankiness to him, partner it with first strike, gathering storm, & rabadons so you'll still deal a lot more dmg.
i too think the dragon is useless in this patch. you fight for dragon only to deny enemy dragon soul so if you get 1 dragon you are basically good to go and just wait til elder spawns. personally, i think the 2nd last implementation was the best one where the buff gets better the more dragon you stack so i really miss that version since i mostly play adc and jungle
Dragon is really good if your team was able to get all three dragons (aside from elder), but if you manage to get atleast 1 dragon, even if the enemy has 2, there's really no significant difference and your team with their team is pretty much even. So yeah, I don't really suggest dying for dragon especially the first 2 dragons, because for the early to mid game Gold and Towers > Dragon.
I recommend using your shadow first in front of you then they will get scared of it because if you didn’t know you can do 4x the damage with the shadows and your actual body so basically don’t use ult alone it’s useless

I won't say early drake is useless, but if the game goes on and your team manages to get 3 of them, you guys will be powerful. (i.e. Drakes are for securing your late game, not early game.) Personally, those who think that drakes are useless are people who only focus on the early game and if their early game fails, they surrender.

Late game nashor does way more than drakes they don’t mean a lot and if the early game is good enough to stomp you just get everything regardless
