My wife isn't interested in mountain biking at all; but she's been engaged in both seasons of the Pinkbike Racing coverage because of the people involved and the way they've been portrayed through this excellent filmmaking.
These videos are cinematic in quality and the STORY! - I'm blown away. Big screen action. Big-hearted people. You guys are awesome, all of you!! Aimi, Ben and the rest. WOW. And the film team - you guys are killing it.
Aimi, I cant imagine the amount of strength, both physical and mental that it takes to race downhill. You took on not olny that but the added pressure of having it all on display to the world, good times and bad. That takes a special person. Thank you so very much for sharing your journey with us.
Thank you Ben and the whole Pinkbike team, for sharing the other sides of this sport we all love. It ain't easy out there, in any way, shape or form. I will be looking out for and supporting ALL of you again in 2024! I'm even buying more Pinkbike team clobber for my birthday, to help in my own small way. Now get SHREDDING!
I've never really been into Downhill racing but the story behind everything and how hard everyone works to make this team run is really inspiring and has actually made me want to care about the sport and all the athletes who are working so hard for their dreams. You guys have produced an amazing show!!
Watching the end of this episode already had me feeling for you. FWIW, you're already a hero in the biking world, regardless of whether you're able to make it back into the rankings as a WC racer. I get the importance of that one specific goal, but the impact you've had as a whole is HUGE.
Fantastic episode. Racing WC isn't tiddly winks - it's hard core. Insane pressure. Away from your family. Doubts about your choices. I have nothing but respect for anyone that has a go at it. I wish Aimee knew how many people are cheering for her!
Thank you guys fotr this content. No one ever shows the human side of these riders. I was never going to be good enough to be a racer of any kind, but even if I had the skills and the speed... The way I feel at the top of the run just about to race against my own time from last week... They would have to air lift me from the top of the mountain before I drop in for the worlds run.
Sleeper do a marvellous job telling the story. Ami you are a bloody champ. Given how the year started and to where you got to is just a mammoth effort. Racing at the level you lot race at is the Ultimate pinnacle. No other sport is that balanced on a fine edge. There is so much to fathom at the pace you go at. The amount of computing power to deal with riding a bike that fast on those kind of tracks and to remember, lines, braking points, when to lift and when to push and to adjust to weather, condition of track, temperature, changes in the bike and so on is just incredible. So no beating yourself up because you didn't get to where you wanted. You are faster than a greater percentage of the rest of us. Good luck. And thank you.
After watching this video I come to realize how under appreciated the sport of DH racing really is. I live in the U.S. so you know the number one watched sport if football, but that can’t be compared to the dangers of downhill racing.
These last couple videos showing these youngsters really pushing themselves, and being passionate about riding is really great to see. Especially in times where technology and video games have become the common hobby for most of the younger age groups.
Loved this and Aimi is a total Legend. I'm an old man weekend warrior but watching Aimi ride and her attitude is so inspiring. Going to the golfy this weekend to try and get over my fear :)
I Fkn love this whole crew every team member in front and behind the camera, since this experiment started I've been invested (emotionally) however I would be financially if you had a poor fan donating box. I'll be gutted if the team change next year and don't push on for one more season. Fkn Awesome 💪💪💪🙌🙌🙌
Well done Aimi and all the PB team and Sleeper Co. We all have bad times no matter who we are but you have created an awesome support network/team 🤘❤️🌈🕊️🌎
DH racing is such a mind game... go as fast as you possibly can while trying not to die at the same time. Both of my daughters raced at the local amateur level for a few years. Although they both stopped racing now I think it gave them a ton of life skills in how to self manage risk and be comfortable with pushing their abilities in other parts of life. Major respect for anyone who drops from the start gate on any WC track.
Just Discovered this series. Reminds me a bit of the F1 drive to survive stuff on Netflix. I'm not into Motorsports but that griped me. I am into mtb and seeing this other side of the professional sport is amazing. Good job Guys!
Aimi if you read this, big things don't come over night, you got this, trust the process!🙌 You got desire & passion and that's all that it takes to spark the flame!
Getting so invested in this story! Listen to Cathro, he is wise (sort of), he knows! What he said about intensity is true, but that will come as you become a more battle hardened and hungry competitor. Also, believe in yourself young lady, you can do this!🤘🤘 Really hope to see you competing at the top for years to come🤞
Its so crazy to watch this video and to see how aimi has such stress about riding elits and thinking about teams and know she is verrrryyyy sure riding for trek factory racing one of the best teams ever i mean ahe didnt anounced it yet but i belief in it Props to Pinkbike and Ben cathro the legend himself
a bit of ancient eastern wisdom i can share with, especially for young athletes: sometimes the more you push for the goal, the further you are away from it. have a deeper inner conversation to yourself: what brings you onto the saddle deep down ? is it the moment under the spotlight standing on podium, or the pure mental joy and smile put on your face ?
Some people are scared of failure and some people are scared of success I've been stuck between the two my whole life not moving forward and rarely risking failure. I hope Aimi finds her way through that minefield to success. And I hope she gets to define what that means for herself.❤
This is a BAD ASS video! I know they sure do NOT do this for the money! They do it for the Glory. This goes for all athletes of all sports, money is important and it is good, but it hurts when we fall, and it hurts even more when we lose even after giving 150% effort over many years. Remember Kids, "Money is only temporary, but GLORY IS FOREVER!" -- Erich von Cartmann, 10th Degree Diamond Belt Life Coach
I raced dh for 15 years. I played ice hockey goalie most of my life too. The mental side of competition is extremely demanding. It's not something that everyone enjoys. Spending time between one's own ears can be somewhat perplexing.
Will it be enough to find a team sponsor next year? Will she be racing World Cup? For all these athletes that are so close to being world cup contenders I wish there was a better 2nd tier racing circuit for them. Somewhere where they could still get some sponsorship, maybe a bit less travel, they could hone their skills further with the hope to move up to world cup level maybe, or at least enjoy racing professionally for a few years. That would also generate some of the future race coaches with a bunch of racing experience under their belt - even if they never became podium contenders at the highers level.
Personally, I think certain trees, rocks and other objects in the wild just have a greater gravity, which is what causes you to be drawn to them. 😎 I know this from personal experience. 🤕
"Comparison is the thief of joy." I hate to see young athletes have the love of the activity squeezed out of them by the pressure of this level of competition. I am all for keeping score and young people learning how to win and lose with grace. But if this was my kid I'd try to remind them first and foremost it is supposed to be enjoyable and when it stops being fun, scale back. I have a sneaking suspicion the adults in her life are adding to the pressure so that they might benefit from her talent. Which would be quite a shame.
Yeah trop mimi Aimimi Micheline 🥰 Your smile is like the sun, and when you cry it's like a very slippery f*cking autumn day in the mud !! Je te souhaite plein de réussite en élite, et même si tu venais à taquiner ma favorite (Marine) je ne t'en voudrais pas ! Keep pushing hard and having fun miss Aimi, and think that a very lot of people (and me in) is yelling for you each time you race, to give you energy and confidence to be better and better and faster 💪💪💪🔥 On se voit aux Gets en Juillet championne, lâche rien 🤘
In 2022 she finished 5th overall. This year she finished 6th. She's someone to root for, but even in a field that's got very few topnotch athletes she's not stood out. She regularly finishes 15 to 20 seconds behind the 1st place rider. Okay, she's sweet and she's someone you hope will do better, but be realistic. She's shown not much to get one's hopes up for.
I feel for MTB racers, especially in DH. To risk your life each run for the chance to win peanuts in prize money at best, or become seriously injured or worse otherwise. Meanwhile a person who makes millions by manipulating a ball in some way in a much more safe environment….

They just know how to tell a story. I could show this to someone who doesn't know the first thing about MTB and they'd be rooting for Aimi by the end.

Aimi, you are such an inspiration for my girls. So focused and so much guts to send it every run. Hats off to you
Thank you so much🙏
These videos are definitely the best content on RUclips right now! Absolutely amazing everything, story telling, filming, editing, music etc ❤🎉
I can't explain how much I love this series... let's say i disable the adblocker for you guys :)
I've never really been into Downhill racing but the story behind everything and how hard everyone works to make this team run is really inspiring and has actually made me want to care about the sport and all the athletes who are working so hard for their dreams. It’s been a privilege experiencing 2 hectic World Cup seasons with you 🫡. Thanks for all the good times! 🤗
A hectic 2 years indeed😂 wouldn’t have had it any other way 😊
I've just watched the last video and I'm already an emotional wreck 😂 please tell me you'll both be around next year?!

Pinkbike has been producing great videos for a long long long time now, but this series has raised the bar. So good.

Ridiculously well made series. Bravo!

Pinkbike BEST MTB channel ever and supporting the sport (unlike another huge channel I could mention)
Pinkbike isn't even in the conversation when it comes to "best MTB channels".... This series is about the only thing of quality they make.
Whoa Aimi. Talk about a person who gives it their all and more. Love witnessing her journey.
These last couple videos showing these youngsters really pushing themselves, and being passionate about riding is really great to see. Especially in times where technology and video games have become the common hobby for most of the younger age groups.
Such an amazing person. Rooting for you Aimi! The series also incredibly well made btw
Really hope theres a season 3, these episodes just get better and better, hopefully Ami has a spot for next season
What a year! Big up Kenyon 🫶
❤
So good. Excellent production. The impossible pressure on a fantastically normal person (people). Thanks. Loved it.
Another great Episode. I really hope Aimi has a ride next year, has she?
These videos are so good. I'm so happy that Pink Bike racing exists.
Let’s goooo
Where we going?

That was so good! Damn!
Great job with this one and the whole series!

Best series on YT right now, hands down.
These videos are incredibly good, feel like I'm watching a Netflix show. If you keep making them I'll keep watching!
I hope Amy can stay racing

Great video guys can’t wait to see Aimi step up onto that top podium step, because you’re Scottish and we’re born with that advantage 😎
This deserves to be somewhere bigger than RUclips
By god - these videos are just beautiful.
The mental health of athletes means everything for sustained results. I just want to give Aimi a hug and pay for a therapist to travel with the team!
I love everything about these series so much :O
Another great episode ! Can't wait to focus a bit on Ben, he deserves it !

4th at MSN, lassies flyin.
Great vid guys, as usual.
This was beautifully done!
I love these Videos! Keep them coming 😅
Come on Aimi, love these vids and watching you ride. You will get past this step andd smash it
Great as always!
Aimi is hardcore, 1. For even trying, 2. For having all the failures and tears on film.
Most adults couldn't hack that. I couldn't.
Great to see the inside of how it works 🤙🇮🇪
I wish I was half as fast as you! You’re a legend 👍
These tracks are NO JOKE. Very impressive riding!
She is so fast… I shitted my pants several times during the video.. you are tough Aimi

Props to Pinkbike and Ben cathro the legend himself
Will the team exist next year cause it feels like it will not and it literally made me watch racing cause of how much i like you guys.

These are fantastic.
Mysterious behind the camera guy thinks you did a great job Aimi. Keep building that sandcastle!
The sandcastle will become even bigger and better than before!😂
I'd love to see a full PB Racing music playlist, such great choices...along with everything else. Any idea when jerseys will be back in stock?

Oh god I'm going to die next episode. I can barely manage Aimi being sad. I'm going to absolutely die watching a broken down Ben. =(
Superb 👌
Downhill is hard not only on your body but also on your mind , skills are not everything sometimes .
these are so well made
Aimi is the coolest!!!!!!
That tree was just standing there, minding its own business.
looks like she could shave a few seconds off on changing the way she gets out of the starting gate. good luck next season!

Racing seems like a sweet job, until I consider how much pressure must be on these riders. I'd crack for sure.
That was moody, had to jump to the end to make sure she was ok before watching.
I don't know she still did better than i have ever could lol

SPELLING MISTAKE IN THUMBNAIL! My mum just pointed out to me😅
This side of mountain biking looks a lot like alpine skiing competition just when it became a snubby boring thing...
The GoPro under the visor is sooo distracting and right in your line of sight. I understand filming lines and getting content but it so distracting
Maybe all the cameras in her face she can't see where to go.

Просто уберите с её байка эту пошлость под названием Dorado. Поставьте нормальную вилку.
Are you talking from experience, as the inverted fork is all over dirt bikes, and should work fine with the locked axel, on a downhill bike?🤷♂️
