But does seems weird to cap the armor out so low... maybe have it change from additive to multiplicative at 9k or something. Well see though, they had their reasons
Your worry of wanting to make a glass cannon or tank build can be answered or not by your 1st sentence. Just opt out specing armor and purely pick offense stats for glass cannon build. If you want the tank build then then spec to the "easily attainable" armor cap and spec health and damage reduction/fortification. I remember ever since season 1 casually playing and without even trying to spec armor on a level 100 sorc and druid I have about 8,000 and at one point 12,000 even. I was just looking at stuff like CDR, vulnerable, overpower stats and maybe more but not mainly focused on armor except on Torso and pants. The main defensive differences are elemental resistances(sorc and necro, int gives more elemental resists),class types(you get hit less and can manually dodge more as a ranged damage dealer as compared to melee damage dealers) and paragon nodes differences/skill tree differences even.
@@dgthanos you might be right. I haven’t played in awhile so I’m not sure how it will work in practice which is why I said it’s a worry and not a complaint. This makes tanks less relevant. It’s not about if I have the option to opt into defense or not. My worry is more that choosing to go one way or the other for a more extreme build will feel pointless and bad when reaching cap and then going full damage will just simply be better and leave you feeling tanky and damage heavy. Huge fan of the franchise, love D4, so thankful for the changes. The feeling of salvaging a ancestral legendary item into iron scraps was painful, thanks for the change to salvage.
Just a thought: you could give Unique Items a higher Item Power cap. That would mean that your Ancestral Legendary items are capped at 925 IP, but a Unique Item could drop at a raised cap (possibly with the potential for higher affix rolls than Ancestral Legendary items) of 1050 or 1100. Uber Unique Items could always drop at the new max IP, too. This would make Unique Items desirable, and this would give players something else to chase in the late game. It would also give players alternative ways to min/max their builds since the greater amount of Armor or Resistances would mean they could drop affixes that contribute to those stats on their other pieces of gear, their Skill Tree, or in their Paragon Board. I'm not an expert or a developer; it was just an idea! I think you guys are doing a great job. My wife and I can't wait for Season 4!
Happy about the chnages an d i like them. But then i read the patch notes, i missing few stuff. First of all, i don't the tempering manual changes the all the new affixes and changes, when you said you rebalance that. Also i didn't all the new uber unique chances to every boss on boss ladder. Would love then the team will addit it.
I am a Sorc fan. Overall these are great changes. Only nit pick is, it was made clear they understand we want to "blast" through the game, but they give the Sorc static incinerate journey gear. Which is static standing still play style...hust saying. Seriously overall think these are great changes.
Will you guys be taking a page out of the Helldivers book, and allow Platinum to drop from certain instances? Maybe small amounts (10-50?) from Ladder Bosses, Treasure Goblins, high level Pit runs, or even Tormented Ladder Bosses? It would be super cool to be able to farm transmogs without pulling out my wallet. My wife and I have spent a significant amount of our limited income on Battle Passes every season, class transmogs, and mount skins, and while we love this game and don't mind supporting something we love, it would be nice if you guys could pay Platinum forward to dedicated players of your game. Just food for thought!

Your WoW team already has the cosmetic system laid out for you. Shows every boss, boss location and what they have a chance of dropping. Not like it’s new, so I don’t understand what you have to think about. Just throw in a quick basic UI and upgrade it later.
so the Beta has finished right ? I want to thank you but also want to say you should have waited 1 year to launch, because now all my friends don't play and I'm alone and feel bad because I love your game !
Why they doggin on Colin for being prepared and organized... He brought a book because he had some important stuff to say that the players actually care about
So no theme besides loot? No new quest line? Feels like it’s only an update to the current season. What’s the seasonal item? Will we still have the senechal?
No seasonal mechanic. Small seasonal questline with the Iron Wolves but much less of a focus. I think this was asked during the Q&A and Joe P basically said they decided to use the seasons teams and the main teams (and other teams) to prioritize all of these changes, instead of splitting development resources on a seasonal mechanic, and then not being able to have enough time to develop all of these changes coming in season 4. I know a lack of a seasonal mechanic may seem disappointing but I think the vast majority of the playerbase would rather they focus and prioritize key system changes, like they have done, over seasonal mechanics/content that only last for 3 months and so far, really haven't been that interesting imo. All of these changes are MUCH more exciting than anything seasons has had to offer.
there is a seasonal quest line and thats it for the season side of it. No there will not be a senechal since that was season 3 themed. This is basically the release of D4 everything prior to this was a Beta.
Dear Blizzard! It's already better)) 1. More end game content starting at level 50+. 2. More variety of Bosses and wandering Bosses in the open world - as well as hunting for them 3. Get a partner from the Iron Wolves. 4. More content in the Eternal World - for those who do not want to play Seasons 5. PvP We ask for Arenas of 1x1, 3x3, 5x5, 10x10 sizes. 6. New game classes. 7. Add content from D2, D3 and Diablo Immortal.

Wow who knew testing the game pre release could improve overall game experience...
I am a Sorc fan. Overall these are great changes. Only nit pick is, it was made clear they understand we want to "blast" through the game, but they give the Sorc static incinerate journey gear. Which is static standing still play style...hust saying. Seriously overall think these are great changes.
Great job. Thanks!
Keep up the good work guys!
Looking forward to it!
Hoping for a fun season. See ya in game.
The problem is... If all these new mechanics work and if they do... If they work correctly! Blizzard is "infamous" in this!
Unbelievably awesome! Best dev stream yet!
At first i was like who is this 15years olds with the sheets to learn from to an exam. And than he started to talk. Okay Colin for Blizzard president!
3 oppertunities for resplendent, good. hopefully it keeps coming with coming seasons journeys. cos my account seems busted when it comes to finding an uber unique...
I do strongly suggest allowing various body shapes At some point - really does help immersion.
Just like the previous Diablo games....yawn....
@@pokermitten9795 assuming you are being sarcastic since there was none in previous games, but would be sweet if I could play a Druid without being an XXXXL boy
Actually enthusiastic to play this season. Haven't felt that since before launch. Guys are doing well with the situation they've found themselves in. Hope to see more great things to come, as I was soooo excited to play this before launch.
season theme where xd?
Here is an extra dose of positivity, you all truly deserve it. S4 will be great, keep up the good work !
Everything sounds pretty good! Can't wait to play S4
I am so looking forward for the bigger inventory and the easier accessible paragon system.
So I'll have to load even more of everyone's items???
Thank you!
Dropping comments as I go but, My strategy to gear was collecting yellow rares to get my stats and imprint an aspect to upgrade to legendary. If Yellow has 2 affix, I accept the challenge to look for legendary I suppose.
Thank you so much team! This was a much needed update! Super excited for S4 changes
At least we know there’s still some devs who listen and care about what the players want. More of Colin please. Hopefully a few more seasons or by vessel of hatred the game will be in a good spot. I’ll wait patiently 😄
Since this is both seasonal realm and eternal realm, this is the rework. There is still a season theme
All of these changes are MUCH more exciting than anything seasons has had to offer.
ah yes a seasonal theme is much more important than fixing the big issues the game has had since launch /s
there is a seasonal quest line and thats it for the season side of it. No there will not be a senechal since that was season 3 themed. This is basically the release of D4 everything prior to this was a Beta.
You get a iron wolf instead of the construct
Dear Blizzard! It's already better))
1. More end game content starting at level 50+.
2. More variety of Bosses and wandering Bosses in the open world - as well as hunting for them
3. Get a partner from the Iron Wolves.
4. More content in the Eternal World - for those who do not want to play Seasons
5. PvP We ask for Arenas of 1x1, 3x3, 5x5, 10x10 sizes.
6. New game classes.
7. Add content from D2, D3 and Diablo Immortal.
Cant wait !!! Finally again in my favourite Game !!! Thx for this all these Years !!!
