I have flown a hang glider over Cromer. It is awesome as the cliff drops away and the lift comes off the buildings on the sea front. I never got quite that low, fair play to you.
Nice vid. I used to fly Cromer many years ago, never made that transition though, probably wouldn't have had the bottle to give it a go back then! This makes me want to come back some day for another go. Do you still get hassle from the golfers these days? They used to hate us flying there, while the walkers/general public thought it was great!
lovely video, been to cromer several times since bro used to live there. walked along the coast, enjoying peace, quiet and clean air enjoying the north sea.
hi simon i see you have just started flying ! congratulations . to fly around the norfolk coast like this we need a good north easterly about 12mph + keep your eye on the weather often it can be on for a week.
Hi there. At 63 there is no reason why you cant do it as long as you can walk, run and you are reasonably fit. There`s an 82 yr old flying in the wessex club. You are never too old and if you dont want to do it yourself you could always go flying on a tandem glider as passenger. Thanks for watching.
Hi, I live near Watford, so fly Dunstable whenever it's on, however am off to Cyprus in Feb 08, so will be checking out the flying there soon now. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ;-)
it is fun! i learnt in dorset with flying frenzy . it all depends on the weather on how long it takes but you could possibly do it in a few weeks, training costs under £1000
days earlier we were flying over town looking down on church tower it was just touch and go on this day had keep tucked in close and use lift from houses and sea wall and so many lamposts to look out for
Awesome stuff - I guess you staying under aviation law because you are still ridge soaring despite being very close to a built up area at times? How often is weather suitable to do this? I normally fly around Brighton but love the look of this flght.
hi richard, it doesnt apply to gliders that are ridge soaring, also im at a height to easily land clear of any obstacles or people by landing on the beach.
Love this video, just go's to show you don't always need the Alps to enjoy your flying. Only 60 miles from me, will I need to be in a club to fly there?
Hi again, would I have to be trained with ep/cp? Could I join your club a gain the experience to fly there? Dont wont to use paramotors, just want to ridge soar. Training is miles from me, just need more local help!
our club is a tow club and we have a school thats comes to us once a year to train students for tow flying once in the club we can help you on hill flying. Also i have a friend who may be willing to help you to fly the coast . Find the Norfolk Paragliding and Hang gliding club online and on Facebook. I am the treasurer, contact me.
Hi, As I hav'nt recieved a reply from you club, can I ask you do you know of any body who is able to train me ep/cp? In Suffolk or Norfolk now! Willing to pay just need more local help. Thank you.
hi there are no instructors in either county who can train you, but if you private message me i can give you a number of someone who may unofficially help.

The cromer run. Always a good test of character.
