Thank you so much for this video. Today we dropped a whole cup of nacho cheese from taco bell into the shifter area and we didn't know how to remove the trim area. I searched and found this video and it absolutely helped make the clean up a whole lot easier. So again thank you for the video. We truly were puzzled on how to clean it up. Peace 🤙🏼

This was helpful. Spilled coffee on the heated seat switches. I actually went the extra mile and disassembled the switches themselves also. Cleaning the chips and rollers with diluted rubbing alcohol.

Lol did the same thing they won’t stop turning on! Had to disconnect them. You can buy the switches on eBay for about 50. Really don’t need them in California.

Nice and quick removal video, liked and subbed! My 2015 4Runner Limited has 2 blanks where your seat warmer switches are. I want to put a couple of switches in there for yuks and grins ("Passenger Eject" and "Machine Guns"), lol. Since they won't be operational, just have to figure out how to wire them so they will just light up when pressed. Didn't know how to get the center console out, now I do! Thanks!

Great video!! My gear shift is clicking when i shift from park to drive...and I feel like there might be something stuck under the letters l...if i take this off will.i be able to look more under the gear shift area

@@caity3727 Usually if you don't, the trim will hit the shifter when you try to remove it.

@@melissacockrell9293 I don't think so, but you can scuff it with red scotchbrite and paint it, or wrap it in 3m vinyl body wrap.

How can I change the plastic where u shift to drive
I would follow these steps, then look for screws, or plastic tabs holding it in place.
Salvage yard. Find a wrecked 4runner, pick-n-pay for parts you want
Is there a way to convert the 4x4 gear dial to the 4x4 gear stick shifter?
Not that I know of. Probably easier to just buy an old model with the manual shifter. Sometimes simple is better!
My car won’t go into drive only reverse now. Anyone tips on how to fix it???
Uh oh. you can check the cable, or linkage on the transmission. sometimes the cable can slip, or get out of adjustment though, I don't know the configuration on your specific model.
Could be a transmission problem.
