Damn Gabe! This Lang Tang trek series just blew all your Greece and Nepal content out of the water, and that was your best stuff! Good Stuff. Nepal just raised up on my bucket list.
Thank you for being so dedicated to uploading this series during your trek and over the holidays! It's been spectacular to watch and good preparation for my own upcoming hike. I'm a new fan of your channel! Yesterday I went down a wormhole watching all of your previous India/Nepal videos. A big thanks :)
Appreciate the crisp, concise way you tell stories not captured on camera as well as what do show. I also appreciated you telling the back story of the English woman, Zoe, you met who was comin’ down the mountain while you were trekkin’ up - and your relating of her working at a lodge of some sort for people trekking in Scotland piqued my interest - that’s something I want to do someday with my wife meeting me at lodges. When we took a tour to the Isle of Skye through the Highlands (from Edinburgh) we had limited time to hike but the scenery was epic - made me want to go back.
I subscribed this channel 4 years ago . I was searching for Nepal videos at that times nd randomly came across this channel. I loved this channel soo much that i continued to be part of this channel till the next Nepal adventure in 4 years.
Is merely saying "first" a comment? I'm really interested in seeing your video FIRST. I really enjoy seeing how you manage with things we take for granted, like bathing and toileting, in these remote areas. Thank you so much for sharing that, seriously!
It never occurred to me that hiking the Himalayas in winter would be so relatively snow-free. Seems ideal actually. I don't mind the cold and I love how few people there are
@sandip K South Asia doesn't have traditional seasons. There are only dry and wet seasons. Winter is a dry season hence why there is relatively little snow.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful series of your hiking through the Himalayas! Every video was so amazing! Be always well dear Gabriel and keep on travelling! What a beautiful life!
These Nepal videos in the Himalayan mountains are the best. I watch them over and over. Very cool videos. This has to be one of the greatest adventures on earth, I want to do this so bad.
I didn't have phone reception or internet so I wasn't checking the exact temperatures along the way. It was probably getting down to around freezing at night at the top of the trek and a bit warmer than that in the lower elevations. Days varied from warm to cool.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos ohh i see, thank you for the quick reply. This new series amazes me. I pray and wish for an amazing trip for you upahead and many more safe and sound adventures ahead in 2020! Godspeed
I lived out in a wall tent in Nevada during the winter. Had a wood stove for heat. To bathe I had a galvanized steel tub. It was about the size of a big kitchen sink. Heat up the bath water on the stove, then place it on the ground. Too small to sit down in, so had to stand in it. Use a natural sea sponge to squeeze water and wash. Actually it worked great!
Hi Gabriel I really enjoy your trekking through the Himalayas of Nepal. Am watching every episode. Am also amazed as to how cheap the guest houses are The food looks good too. Please take of yourself and be careful of wild animals
doesn`t it get tiring sometimes , getting somewhere , then setting up your camera and then walking back down the trail with your backpack to then walk up the same path you have just walked up just for a camera shot
Fantastic explanation of your tough situation, what an adventure. I will do the Lukla to Everest based camp trek in my life time. I have done the Jiri to Lukla hike in 2018.
Thanks for another good video and important info regarding trekking the area. Never had any interest in exploring this option until watching your series. What were the average daytime temperatures? Looked comfortable enough, and the lack of people makes it more interesting.
Almost every lodge I saw was that style in the 90's. I remember getting used to the bucket of hot water as just normal. Never saw anything other than a squat toilet
Hot water, warm food and a bed... I remember a very long and quite steep walk down a mountain in Austria, my legs were killing me 😉 i marvel at how fit you are G! When i saw the title i was worried you'd come to harm, but no. Phew
I upload them while I travel. I've been traveling for six months straight on this trip. But they're usually delayed a little. This video was filmed on Christmas. I'm in Thailand now.

Hi Gabriel, there's just no substitute for a good hot shower and having antibacterial soap may be important against kind skin rashes or infections just a precaution.
Looking good, Gabe. Any measure of feedback on how people abroad are reacting to certain developments in regards to US foreign policy? Has it affected your itinerary?
I am surprised why you didn't climb kyanjin ri or tsergo ri or visited langsisa kharka. View from their is breathtaking. Hope you would visit those place on your next trip. You miss alot.
*Watching your series, it seems as though the Himalayas call one from deep down* *inside your soul and you can hear your spirit whisper: it’s time to answer. 🥰*
Oh man, that toilet and shower, that would have broken my travel spirit. That squat toilet even had poop on it. Ack! I'm glad I can follow along in comfort without having to deal with bucket showers in the freezing night. The mountains are beautiful though. After all that you deserve a few nights in a 5 star hotel.
Gabe --- I am curious what type of phone you have? The reason I ask is because with all the extreme conditions in your travels and seeing your phone has held up I need a new one and would like to get something that can stand up to traveling. Thanks in advance
