Thank you for sharing. Brembo most probably supply BMW so yes they are the same disks (without the BMW markup!) You should have replaced the pads too as they will take ages to bed in and give you full braking performance. I would also recommend a torque wrench! I have been considering buying one of these but I still have some reservations, one of which is charging. I spotted in this that you have an external socket in the background, did you get the OLEV grant for that or is it just an ordinary external weatherproff socket?
Hi Ian - yes, completely agree and i've ordered the pads already. I've got a torque wrench on order for my birthday later this month but borrowed my mate's for this job. I actually have 2 charge points in front of the house...the 7kW NewMotion charger and a 3 pin socket. The C Evo mostly charges at work for free but I also have a Tesla which mostly uses the NewMotion home charger. I managed to get the £500 OLEV grant as technically i can fit my C Evo on my 'drive' which is one of the conditions. The C Evo can use the NewMotion charger but it only does so about 3x a year. In terms of your reservations for the BMW C Evo, i can't recommend this bike enough. I've owned a number of bikes and this is by far the most fun. It just can't be used as a long distance tourer...if you're ok with that or have another bike (i do), then this is an easy choice. and such a heap of fun. If you're around the London area and ever wish to have a go, i don't mind meeting up and you can try it yourself.
@@OVB_NL thanks for the offer but I live in the Yorkshire Dales. So a bit beyond the range of your bike :-) If only it had a 7kW on board charger that would not be so much of an issue.
