I remember getting into this band in my adolescence, heard "grandfather" on MTV 2 and binged their catalogue. I really felt, and still do feel like they were one of few bands that I witnessed hone their craft and got better and better with every release. I also remember seeing their farewell show around that time too, and was so jealous that I was watching it on RUclips and not there for the show it looked like so much fun. But I'm glad they come out of hiding every couple of years and still drop good music.
The ending is also a judicious use of my absolute favorite Screamo trope, ending a song with multiple vocalists screaming the last line repeatedly while the music dies down. That's a pure Skramz move.
Google seems to believe it's a misspelling of Serapis, Greco-Egyptian Sun God. No idea if that's what The Number 12 were going for, but it's something.
