To me, the Dad was the real bad guy while the Mom was a victim along with the kids. So, did you kill the mom with the dad? Don't get me wrong, she should have just left the dude if she hated him so much and have taken the kids with her. Of course, it is probably harder to get away from a bad person when he is part of the police force of a city. He probably pulled an 'Earl' from *Waitress* to keep her from leaving with the kids.
My children better be like this when they grow up. I want my children to stand up for themselves if someone is treating them badly, even if that person is their parents.
