Just got results back from my NREMT and passed in 72 questions after failing with a “near passing” in 105 on my last!!! I had to find a video to comment on to tell you! You helped me so much is unbelievable, thank you Evan the paramedic coach!!!
I'm a new EMT just got my first job for a private company doing interhospital transfers and was surprised by how many patients have chf. Lots of them have peripheral edema/ fluid swelling in their legs and go to the hospital for weakness/unable to walk in my experience. Haven't seen the pink frothy sputum yet but, yes rales/irregular lung sounds are common.
Good stuff. I have been an EMT for over 30 years and have just started teaching EMT school. You explained this very well and I will be using a lot of your techniques with my students.
Can you do one on drugs? Like I know statins are cholesterol but do you have any other memory tricks? Or dosecal? I'm getting ready to start P. Class August 18th. Pharm is 8 wks long. Help!
Carrie, I actually have a entire library of all the EMS medications in my course and also inside the course is prescription meds as well. This is what I give to all my students to prep for school; www.prepareforems.com It's all there my friend. Be Great, Evan

We just learned this, this week in my EMT class. Really helped clear up some confusion.
I remembered right and left sided CHF by associating the L in left with edema in (L)ungs

I have a question about lifetime access to the course, can I use it to satisfy my continuing education requirements?
No, you can use guardian cme for that though
Great video
What are rales?
Rales is fluid in the lung fields. It also goes by the nickname "crackles" it is a major lung sound.
@@TheParamedicCoach Thank you 😀
Great
Nice video 👍
Great explanation. Maybe touch on pulmonary hypertension and how it leads to pulmonary edema.
Pulmonary embolism will also give you pink septum
Moreover, not only that, but most CHF patients do not present with pink sputum. That is a significantly late sign.
@@andrewross4685 left sided aswell

Thank you Warren!
Anybody else here after failing the NREMT studying anything under the sun sence no matter what you can’t predict what’s on the next one lmao
