I heard from someone else that talked to him after the Rochester show that he has nerve issues in his back. He basically collapsed after they were done playing their set in Rochester because of that. Hope he's alright.
45 years of metal and headbaning on stage along with other crazy antics is gonna wreck the body. Mine is as well. Wouldnt have it any other way! We all die in the end and a broken body means a lot of fun was had!
Let us not forget that Trey is nearly 60 years old. The life of a touring musician is exhausting and physically demanding, even if you're not playing extreme metal. It's tougher than you think out there. Trey has beaten and abused his body for us for nearly 40 years. Let's all send him healing energy for recovery. It's the least we can do for a literal lifetime of service.
I just saw them in Rochester on this tour. Same thing happened at the end of the set. He threw his back out or something and fell off the stage. Up until then Morbid was crushing. Hope he can recover

I saw a video taken of him having a conversation with a couple of fans on a sidewalk before a show last week... he was really fucked up. Slurring etc... even told the guy taking the video that he was worried that he sounded too drunk and that the video was going to be terrible. I felt for him. He's definitely struggling with something and we all need to wish him well!
I've noticed the same thing as well in his social media presence; lots of videos of him fucked up and being really erratic. Hopefully he gets some R&R and gets himself straightened out. Metal Injection's article on the matter quotes his mother as saying that he suffered from dehydration in conjunction with a back injury suffered earlier on the tour due to slipping on the tour bus stairs. Slips, trips & falls happen, but based on his recent history of binge drinking, I wonder how likely it was a result of being intoxicated and slipping....

What happened here is a Medical Incident and very well could be a stroke!!!! Yes alcohol, but this wasn't due to intoxication. Edit: What I mean by this is this isn't him being drunk and unable to play due to intoxication. He's unable to play due to a medical episode. Hope that clarified any confusion or misunderstanding.

Is he having a seizure? Or is he drunk? What was he like during the previous songs? I suffer from seizures and even intense loud music and lights mess me up now and I go into seizure episodes. I sometimes have them standing up before I fall over, too. I literally cant go to Meshuggah shows anymore because their stage production and strobes made me fall out last time I went to their show. Hope Treys alright man. Everyones human and hopefully he stops and takes care of whatevers going on. One of my favorite guitarists. Theres nothing more important than your health, physically and mentally.

Morbid Angel just played a show in my hometown a few weeks ago, maybe a month, and the roof caved in at the venue do to storms. Dozens injured, one killed. This a rough tour, fellas.
bad luck on this tour. first the roof collapse in chicago that injured many and killed 1 and stopped the show before morbid went on. And now this! really sad. either way they are legends!
Saw him at the Fort Lauderdale show. He had track marks on his arms which is very concerning. I hope he gets help now that the tour is over. The guy is one of my favorite guitarists.
Sometimes at home shows, old "friends" start buying you drinks. Hopefully not a lasting medical condition. Grueling tour and an amazing job at 58 years old! In order to continue in this line of work, he's gonna have to embrace healthy lifestyle. He's important and no reason he can't continue for at least another 10 years touring.
Apparently dehydrated. Makes sense. I had these weird kind of mini seizure things when I was younger and living less healthy (basically not drinking enough water or eating properly, just getting up and making alcohol my priority every day). Not saying Trey has any problems of that extent btw.

Apparently dehydrated. Makes sense. I had these weird kind of mini seizure things when I was younger and living less healthy (basically not drinking enough water or eating properly, just getting up and making alcohol my priority every day). Not saying Trey has any problems of that extent btw.

Trey has admitted to taking acid, not sure if he still does that, but he still has a drinking problem, he got a DUI not too long ago & he always seems to be drunk lately. Even on stage sometimes. I guess its catching up to him.

That's just TERRIBLE 😔 the whole situation i mean. Trey looked awful lately.. This last interview he did and some shows i checked them playing, his playing looked mediocre at best and his presence in general very VERY questionable..
Feel so bad for the rest of the guys in the band and the funs.
