Get out was shit, this show was shit, the book based on this was shit. You just have horrible taste in horror and lovecraft. The only reason the book goteven a tiny bit popular is because the author slapped lovecraft's name on the cover and peddled to the low iq mongoloid sjw's like you.
I might be alone in this, but boy is this show a mess. The true horror story of the Jim Crow experience - admittedly the strongest element of the show - is ruined by the silliness of the Harry Potter meets Amnesia: the dark descent storyline.
This whole season should've been all mick Jenkins songs. Not only because dude looks like his doppleganger, but also because his music just fits that era, grungy jazzy hip hop with a sort of impoverished mentality but still making inuendos about slavery and that need for water.

@@josemelendez5998 THIS SHOW IS SO GOOD
Enjoyed this show. Wish more like it. I love sci-fi. Me and my friends used to write sci-fi books in highschool and college
I hope you continue to write! ⭐
Shit is good scifi? Fuckoff, people with bad taste or not education in stem should gtfo out of scifi space.
cant believe they canceled this show
Right freakin haters.*
"As you once did for the vacuous Rom, grant us eyes, grant us eyes."
This is the best television show since EVER. it is amazingly original and thought provoking. Big shout out to Jordan Peele for paving the way to this genre with Get Out. I cannot say enough about how everyone needs to watch this and bow down to the geniuses that made this happen. I hope to see more of this mind bending scifi historical cultural drama....also love love love the actors they chose....amazing actors.
My homie Cthulhu making a quick cameo
@VG Vets star spawn?
This whole season should've been all mick Jenkins songs. Not only because dude looks like his doppleganger, but also because his music just fits that era, grungy jazzy hip hop with a sort of impoverished mentality but still making inuendos about slavery and that need for water.
the main joke here is, its not that the show is 100% black. Its that instead of being about lovecraftian horrors...its 50% about "Racism". I dont want to be lectured about racism subtly. I want a master thriller horror.
People aren't ready for that conversation. They're loving this racism bs, so that they have someone to collectively hate, meaning H.P. Lovecraft.
I'm sure Lovecraft would love this show
0:47 Is that Ubbe ? Dude sailed a long way it seems
AMAZING SHOW!! Every episode is better than a movie.
I hope to at least se a Great Old One on this
But the whole point of cosmic horror is to not see the monster
@@gwynndouglass3883 Oh, the namelss , shapeless horror of it all!
Where's mahershala Ali to make this epic
Never heard of this show until today. But the music they used in the trailer was allready offputing.
When you see Kang and B-15 in this
The funny thing about Lovecraft Country is that H.P. Lovecraft was racist af.
Lovecraft Country has nothing to do with Lovecraft. The story is all over the place. The social commentary on racism falls flat because every single white person in the show is an over-the-top mustache twirling villain. And they killed off the best character in the second episode.
They got their point across .. If it never existed we wouldnt of got the first couple episodes that were needed.. its enough for me
Lovecraft + Jordan Peele = WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN A THING SOONER!!!!! I must watch it now!
I had that same reaction !!!!!
bring LoveCraft back!!! Such a great show
WOW just WOW . AMAZING SHOW just finished all 10 episodes && HOLY SHITTT Jordan Peele you've done it again...but damn i wish there was a szn 2 with atticus son and dee protectiomng the book. Maybe can bring atticus back ? Damn i love this show.
That moster look like he's the big brother of demogorgon from strengar things
I wanted to see way more monsters, I know we seen the ideas of what monsters were at in each area but we only seen the vampires or cthulu once.
technically that wasn't cthulu those were starspawn same beings but like pawns to cthulu super dumb though they showed those things and that weird red lady like first fucking 10 minutes of the show n never again and then just never explained what the fuck she was supposed to be.
[SPOILER] pretty sure the red lady was jiah the “succubus”, but that whole scene to me was just foreshadowing i guess?? It showed a guy saving him with a baseball bat saying “i got you kid” which we see later happen in like episode 9
the main character's voice trembles when he's talking

So, I’M HERE ON DECEMEBER 20th, 2020! BEFORE WE ALL GET OUR SUPERPOWERS!!
I'm here from the future, my superpower is Covid 19
So it's a series based on a book which is based on H.P. Lovecrafts books? Interesting.
RIP to Michael K. Williams
"Lovecraft was an evil ignorant racist so let's leech off his work because we can't make anything creative ourselves, aren't racists dumb?"
He actually was sick in the head. And in his later years he took a hard look at himself and really came to accept people he once found suspicious and evil including Jews and people of color.
@@yitz28 Sick in the head is a really lazy attempt at understanding a person and is in itself ignorant. But as I said, just cause he was racist doesn't mean they have the right to just make this dumpster fire of empowerment. When the entire theme of his work is existential dread.
If you want to make an empowering story you can leech of the other 99% of writer who write the same uninspired drivel.
@@gaiseric9518 despite his personal flaws he happened to be a fantastic horror fiction writer. We don’t gain anything by canceling anything and everything
@@yitz28 Yeah exactly. We don't gain anything but making horrible movies in some form of revenge-pxrn when literally all that is going to do is make people racist with how annoying it is. Like there is barely on TV that isn't shoving social justice down your throat. I do hope the future generations mock the SJW religion we've created today.
I wholeheartedly agree
Why I’m I just learning about this
For a show based in the lovecraft universe I was very disappointed. There’s more sex scenes than monsters lol and the ending sucked imo, even the motivations of the villains seemed lackluster. Pretty generic evil intentions. And with such a crazy concept as unimaginable power with magic, an amazing concept, done very poorly. The messages in the show are top tier and some scenes are genuinely terrifying but overall, IMO it was ehh. Worth watching but not worth rewatching
Nobody talking about the superb acting from hp lovecrafts cat as all the characters in this show. Should've won an Oscar.
They need to keep on pumping out hp lovecraft stuff loooove it
Yeah but maybe not with the atmosphere this show gives off. I don't know; personally this show doesn't have a very Lovecraftian feel to it to me.
@@idreamofsquidz814 it's not based on a Lovecraft novel. It's based on a book of the same name by Matt Ruff.
@@laya1901 then why is cathulu squid thing there
This is not Lovecraft. It's a show to remind white people of what they did to black people last century. Jorden Peele should have known better (I'm a fan of his). He now has everyone thinking that Lovecraft was a racist. Was this the point? Lovecraft was a Xenophobe. There is a huge difference. I'm so glad this has been cancelled. I want to be entertained not reminded of the sins of our fathers. I already know and I don't need to be bashed repeatedly over the head about it. I want Lovecraft entertainment not the history of black oppression disguised as a (Lame) Lovecraft TV Series. You can see plain as day as to what Mr Peele's intention was and I bet he didn't care if the show got renewed because he already made his point. Oh and I know it was a book first.
@@markuszussner7359 Lovecraft was a massive racist until after the great depression when he massively changed his views. Just google the name of his cat for god sake.
I wish there were an episode of love craft country where the main villain was love craft
The central theme of Lovecraft's Cosmic Horror is that humans and their civilization are ultimately insignificant. Social and political conflicts don't mean much in the face of ancient beings who view humans the way humans view dust mites.
Lovecraft Country doesn't understand this aspect at all. I guess Cosmic Horror is too complex compared to pointless BLM-pandering.
This is best articulation I've seen of why this show missed the mark. Took a great concept but cashed it in for woke-brownie-points
racism is a lovecraftian monster, you can't escape it, you can't fight it, and you cant negotiate with it, it's everywhere and it takes on many forms, it feeds on ignorance and fuels your fears, and once it got you it's hard to escape from it.
And now, let’s remember the name of Lovecraft’s cat)))
Ahahahahahahaha 😂
What was it
I wish they could of just stuck with Lovecrafts storys. You don't need to rewrite the lore to fit the narrative of 2020. It's a shame they didn't do the Haunter in the Dark or the Rats in the walls or the dream cycles series.
Uh. Was that a Star-Spawn? Neat.

I’m intrigued but honestly it looks like it’s gonna take like 3 or 4 episodes before it starts to actually get “good”.
Which storyline will this follow? From the Cthulhu mythos the only parts in which the main character is of color are The Dunwich Horror, The Haunter of the Dark, and Fungi from Yuggoth.
None. It’s not based on the books like that , rather what IF the monsters he wrote about where real. Not the stories which the monster is in capsulated in
