I am getting to listen four years after the fact, but look forward to this exercise. Your comment about our past and the things we struggle with showing up in our clothes struck a cord. Will share my words after I finish the sheets :) Thank you, Shari....so glad we met so many years ago.
Love this. So fun. Interesting and different. Thank you.
i see myself as dynamic, and confident change agent
Have a Blessed Easter!
Mediterranean richness with a scandinavian structure. Independent, sunny, classic. Dramatic, polished, attention grabber. Cultured, admired, mind-opener. I can go on... :))) Before even downloading your excercise sheets. I wonder what I will come up with, after doing the excercise. I love contrast and statement, but I am soft, warm, way too shy, modern classic, restricted (yes, that's how I feel when I can't wear skinny jeans, bright patterned trousers, or short tops) by D body type.
And the worksheets are not there anymore. :(
Love this!!! You have a great sense about your style....love it!!!
They are back up! Go to home page on my website and look upper right hand at top: fashionmeetsfaith.com/
Found it a little hard to pick words. First I tend to overthink, and also not to think too positively about myself. But finally I came up with authentic, joy-filled, encourager/mentor. Now to figure out what that looks like in clothing😃
Yes, how to translate this to clothing...maybe another video with examples?
I have to think on what that can look like because there are so many different, unique words for people....let me think on this and how best to serve everyone.
@@karahorner2103 With so many different style statements I think it would take more than a video...I'm thinking on how best to serve you all with this idea.
I think your words describe you perfectly. ❤️
I have come up with joyful (bringing joy), friendly (to help, support), encourager (and inspire with courage, spirit or confidence). Now I’ll have to think about what that looks like style wise.
I love your words and that you put so much thought into them, and looked them up too, it appears!
I am down to three nouns which actually go together. Inspiration, encourager, overcomer. The adjectives are harder. I now have 7 - friendly, encouraging, strong, loving, confident, comforting, joy-filled. I have overcome the death of two great spouses, a terrible head on car crash and am now battling stage four CLL. I believe that the nouns are who I am and the adjectives are how I got there and how o help others in similar situations.
Jean, I haven't known you long but from what I DO know, I think JOY-FILLED and Strong are two GREAT words for you!!! Love you friend!
Fun Fashionable Encourager Messenger 😊
Amy Edwards that’s YOU!🥰
Powerhouse is perfect!
Mine is Posh Polished Fashionista!
That's so YOU!
I just discovered your RUclips videos yesterday and looked at your website. First, thank you. You clarified something for me (with my 83 year old mother's help). Last year I decided to stop colouring my hair red and see what my hair really is now that it's greying. Not really a Warm - I need bright colour to look alive. What is my dominant characteristic? Clear, according to my mother (who really does know best). Today I went through your Signature Style exercise and came up with this: "I am a smart, creative Woman." Smart because I have a Master's degree (got the paper to prove it ;) and love to dress smart. Creative because I am an artist. Woman because I am mature, modern, and empowered. Yessss!
I love that you did the exercise to get to your Style Statement! Thank you for sharing with me. As for your color, did you take the free quiz to see what it says for your results? Go to www.colorenalysis.com to find out...and then let me know!
@@StylebyColor Currently I'm a Clear, as I only have light bright grey around my face and my natural hair colour is Chestnut Brown. I just cannot see myself transitioning to Cool when my hair is completely grey.
Nothing wrong with powerhouse - that's how I've always thought about you!
Ahhhhh thanks!!!
@@StylebyColor Powerhouse meaning you are a leader and you do so much and are so active!!
Yours are definitely perfect for you!! I'm working on mine now and will report back....thank you for offering this!! I need to figure out how to incorporate this into my Signature Color....hmmmm..... (so good!!!) And I love seeing your face!
It sure goes along with what you do!
PERFECT words for you, Shari! I'm going to download the worksheet now. I'll let you know what I come up with.
Michelle Hamric Thank you Michelle! So glad you are a new Vip! Let me know what your words are when you come up with them!
I worked on this as challenge homework. I enlisted help from a couple of people who know me best. My statement is: Authentic, gentle encourager and go-getter. How do I dress to reflect this (Clear and "D" body)?
I agree with the other comments; your Signature Style Statement is PERFECT for you! Spot on! I'm going to work on mine today. I should have done it a long time ago. 😬 (You pronounced 'philanthropist' correctly, by the way. 😊)
I wanna know yours when you're done....if you're willing to share :)
@@TabithaDumas Friendly, Fashionable, Encouraging, Supporter. 🙂 What's yours?
Sometimes my words get crazy! ha! And thank you that you think my phrase is perfect for me!
I am a productive, sporty, classic planner. Had to stick an additional adjective in there:)
Love it!
From Laura: This was great! Here is what I came up with: I AM A GRACIOUS, UNEXPECTED INSPIRATION. And you know, this works with your 4 original phrases. I have always waffled between a Classic Modern (gracious) and a Creative Original (unexpected) and doing it this way, I realized that I can actually be both! But I found I need another statement too. This is how I want my husband to perceive me: I am a lovely, treasured visionary. We will be married 20 years this summer, with the past 8 or so years being quite difficult. I have struggled, fought, and prayed to be seen this way, and I think it may finally be happening. Perhaps I will share this statement with him and see how true he thinks it is. Thank-you for this exercise.
LAURA!!!! This is so wonderful!!!! I LOVE your statement and I also love that you are thinking of two so you have one for your husband's view of you....you're a beautiful soul.
Thank you for this! My signature style statement is- I am a bright, fun inspiration of beauty!
I love that!
So helpful! I’m working on my words, it’s hard!! But what I need, thank you for another great video👌🌸
thanks Sue!!
the work sheets are no longer available on the link. Just no finding this video.
Here you go! fashionmeetsfaith.com/worksheet/
Perfect for you. I want to do this exercise and see where I fall. I'll share with you. Without downloading some words coming to mind are, Approachable, Strong, Inspiring Empowerer.
You may have nailed it! Can’t wait to see what you come up with after you do the worksheet!
I am going with joy-filled, energetic, dreamer. 🥰💃🏼✌🏻I recently went through my closet with your color swatches... you actually helped me pick my best colors via a picture my girl at Maude’s texted you, so thank you so much for taking the time for that! I am a soft, and the vast majority of my clothes were black!!! My spring capsule is now Navy, denim, and light blue, with pops of a pinky-coralish color, a pale yellow, and aqua! I think it fits with my desired signature style! Fun floral pattens, bright colors, flowy material... all things I can wear and be comfy for the many adventures I share with my toddler... keeping up the energy that I want to have as an active and healthy stay at home mama, and also all leaning to my hippie vibe as a dreamer! ✌🏻
Oh Ginger I LOVE your phrase!!!! And the colors you picked for spring are going to be perfect to go along with your statement!!!
Yay! Thank you! ❤️
Love this....I’m home everyday and get by with the deals..and black pants! I will be doing the test!
Did you come up with your words yet?
Cheerful fun planner... but not feeling that today...I think this lockdown and weather is starting to get to me 😕
@@estherh.1508 I'm with ya...it can be hard. I like your style statement, though!
Shari Braendel thank you....will get thru this with God! Realizing I did not start my day with Him! Big mistake!
I think powerhouse and confidence builder are perfect nouns for you! I haven’t looked at the sheet yet so I don’t know what mine is. I will try to remember to post it when I finish the “assignment.”
Jody Austin Thanks Jody! I can’t wait to hear what your words are!
Oh my goodness, this is easier for me to understand❣️
found this through the Closet Outfit Planner 3-day Challenge Group🤓
I’m so glad!!! And happy you’re doing the challenge with us!
Shari, I think you have described yourself perfectly. I worked through you Signature Style worksheet and it was interesting that what I was thinking at the beginning changed as I worked through the questions. I am a friendly, confident, professional. A few items in my wardrobe reflect this, the ones I were for important work events, the majority don’t. Time to start thinking how to go about updating my wardrobe. Thanks for sharing the activity.
I love it!!!! Those words are perfect!
The link that you have left in the description box doesn't have any worksheet of which you are talking in this video. Please share the link to download that statementsheet and word bank.
I agree that your choice of words are accurate! I am gentle, classic and humanitarian. Could you give me some examples of how to translate those words into clothing and accessories?
I love your words! I think classic, tailored pieces, with some soft add on's like pretty scarves would reflect your statement.
This is awesome. I shared this with my sister and cousin (who is pretty much my sister) and we all agreed it is really easy to find positive points about others but really hard to find words which complement yourself. A challenge but important. 💗
So I managed to come up with Beautiful Authentic Inspiration 💗💗💗
Thanks for this challenge.
Isn't that the truth!
@@southerncrossstitches Ohhhhh I LOVE that!!!
I knew instantly that my noun would be "overcomer". Maybe sometime I can give you insight into why I chose that word. I had to think a little while to come up with the adjectives. There are so many great words on the list so I tried not to overthink it. So, "I am a chic, strong, overcomer". I'm not really certain what that looks like (visually) for me as a clear. I'm thinking perhaps clean, sleek clothing lines, not a lot of pattern, some red, black, white, and???
That is a great style statement for you!!!! How about adding zebra print...I know you said not a lot of pattern but Zebra would be fabulous!!!
Shari, your hair looks amazing here!! When is the next Beauty Bootcamp and what is the cost? (A link is okay too.) I am thinking of perhaps meeting my daughter there. :)
Hi Wanda!!!! Our next Beauty Boot Camp is October 16-18th (Myrtle Beach!)....I'd love for you and your daughter to come!!!! If you'll email me, I can give you the link with info! shari@fashionmeetsfaith.com
The website did not offer Find your Signature style, on 11-13-20.
B Boyd I’m so sorry! We changed it’s location and forgot to make the change here. It’s on my website at the very top where it says RESOURCES. My website is www.fashionmeetsfaith.com
I loved this. Shari, your Signature Style is right on! I came up with Dynamic Confident Achiever for myself. What a great framework to guide the elements of our wardrobe!
Vicky Huftalin I love your phrase!!!!!
