I was one of the third generation owners of Mack Oil Co. Neat to see our B-61 all restored and running again. I drove that truck many miles hauling petroleum products. I replaced it with a R 686st Mack . I know where the original trailer us would make a nice looking rig.
@@QTownTruckspotting We were in business for 89 years 1931 to 2020 in Berwyn. I was born in 48 and remember a LJ Mack as our first. We also had a number of Brockways some R model Internationals and a few Autocars. Later one we had a number of B-30 and mostly B-42P Macks. One R403P IN 1965 the first year of R models. Also some MB's a B-68 and I personally owned two R686st's a 78 and a 79. One B-42P we owned had a 413 Chrysler in it. Back in the early 60's Chrysler was thinking of buying Mack and we did swap outs of the 401's in our B-42's so Mack said we would like to try a V-8 swap so we let Keystone or Utall Mack in Norristown do the swap. Only one we had like that.
Great video love all the trucks. The white Australian Road Train Mack at 36:20 belongs to Dan Thomas who lives in my home town of Medford Oregon. Dan had a friend from Australia fly out to Oregon and drive that truck to The ATHS National and Macungie. Did you notice that its right hand drive. Dan has a bunch of trucks and he's the nicest guy you will ever meet. That was Dan Thomas driving his Mack Superliner at 36:52
10:07 Ew... The 1980s International/Mack reverse Euro Alarm as the Turn signal indicator... At least he's officially legal to drive that truck in Taiwan, where heavy trucks and firefighting rigs must have a beeper that doubles as a turn signal indicator. British legend Dave Spencer has many examples being shown on his series of truck vids in that country.
