What's it like to fly these plush enclosed suites on a 5 hour flight? I went to the expense of finding out... and I have mixed feelings!
I worry about safety when consistent shower heat and dividers not functioning properly. I flew basic business a while ago and it was really hot! Staff were unable to help implying rich man who can afford business should just put up with it. I recommend all business passengers travel with a rechargeable fan. You would think this a thinking company could provide a few for passengers overheating. I think I will fly Thai next time!
The fake books were the best! No, they weren’t the classics! Something must have been lost in the translation. -You are the best! I always look forward to your videos and your sense of humor.
I think seat to ground was exclusively for making phone calls. Like back in the old days when airplanes had phones that you could use for an exorbitant fee to make a phone call to someone on the ground.
I did the downtown check-in @ Hong Kong. I had hit the bar previous night, didn't get a ot of sleep. When I got off the train, I noticed all the people with luggage at the airport. Whoa, I freaked out thinking I had forgotten my luggage at the hotel. Took a couple of minutes before I realized what had happened.
Asiana’s color scheme is definitely unique, and definitely different from Korean air Beige, but with pops of the traditional Korean tricolor of yellow, red & blue
I must look out for that Asiana A380 Business Suites flight, just to experience it - that’s a pretty sweet suite (see what did there? 🙄😂) BUT, yeah, that colour combo and build quality is not so sweet 😮
I remember when they opened the check-in desks at Paddington (yes, they had them at Victoria for years!) and thinking "oooh, I should try that sometime." Unfortunately, September 11th had other ideas...
Please explain how Seoul to Tokyo got you a better price for Seoul to Bangkok. Was Bangkok a stopover on the way to Tokyo and you didn't fly the 2nd leg? Is that legal?
Excellent video Paul! I REALLY LOVED THIS ONE! The Asiana 🇰🇷 Airbus A380 ✈️ SEEMS GREAT quite a rarity to find an A380 on such a short flight but I’d still take it! Also is it irony that the chapter card labeled 7:47 is whe your boarding the A380!? 😂 I can’t help but think of the last time you flew the Asiana First Class (now Business Class Suites) on HL7428 the sadly now retired Asiana 747-400! 😢 Was that sold the same as this flight with First Class now sold as Business? Also at 4:11 isn’t that Asiana livery GORGEOUS especially on their 747 (freighters only now) and A380 but even the beautiful A350-900! 🤩 I miss the Asiana passenger Boeing 747-400 my favorite 747 variant and so sad she’s all gone now luckily Korean Air still flies some passenger 747 aircraft although only the B747-8 with their -400s also now retired! 😅 Cheers 🥂 mate what a FABULOUS video! 😊 -Caleb’s Aviation
Great video, airlines eventually make that hard decision to park some of their jets to update them. A new fresh color theme, (free) fast Wi-Fi, usb-c take time, the competition can be as intimidating as it can be motivating. Thank you, safe flights.
I love Seoul! I’ve done two trips out there from BHX - both in business class - Lufthansa (awful, despite the experience of being upstairs on the wonderful 747-8) and more recently with Qatar - wonderful!
Nice review, Paul. As you say, it all feels a bit beige in those chairs! You are right, how do things from 2013 feel dated? I notice you filmed this back in September 2023… does this mean you have dozens of trip reports waiting to be edited?
I used to live in South Korea, and whilst I've never flown business or first class. Using the check-in facilities at Seoul Station and the AREX train was great. ICN is one of my favourite airports to fly in and out of. Good memories.
Whereas, I’m just curious what Paul does when he visits all these places as never get an insight into that. Obviously everyone is entitled to privacy, just nosy 🧐
As always a upfront / honest / and helpful professionally made, flight review by Paul Lucas., think i'd skip Asiana and as Paul mentioned., Thai Airways is a better option👍✈

Woah! Paul! You touched the airplane and I heard no bell 🛎️ that goes along with something we can only read if we pause the video really quick!!! What happened??? 😢 By the way the cook on that steak was perfect 🤩
yet another buisinees class review, somthing i can never afford. My last flight was 15hrs on a TUI 787 sardine can from Singapore to Birmingham ,perhaps you should do that
I havent flown anywhere for about 3 decades i dont see the point of enclosed seats cept if u want to sleep chatting to your flying neighbour is part of the fun of flying
@@Paul_Lucas ive mostly flown from manchester which is hit or miss, my worst airport experience was this year when we flew back from malta it was the worst airport ive been to
With all due respect, Asiana is not the world's biggest commercial airliner. Maybe the largest in Asia!! But certainly not the world's biggest. American airlines is the biggest in regards to fleet size. United is the biggest in regards to destinations served. United has a tokyo hub, utilizing Micronesia Airlines, using United 737s.
You are confusing the words airline (a company that flies aircraft) and airliner (a commercial aircraft, the thing with wings that flies). An A380 is an airliner.
I just noticed that this seat is almost the same with new first class seat from Thai airways except without doors. Same boring and plain color choice as well. 😂😂

For LAX route or any other long haul route yes

I'm sure you get there...be patient people x
hi paul good video thanks for sharing btw i am flying asian business class soon from seoul to another airport 👍👍👍
The cheers to camera bit felt very Roger Moore. LOL, i actually went "oh James" lol
Koreans do things properly - although I would have thought a proper califont water heater for the shower shouldn't be difficult...

Did you get any compensation for the cold shower?

I didn't go to Tokyo, I explain that in the video - if you want to fly this aircraft now, it is on the Tokyo route.
@@Paul_Lucas Thanks. I guess I didn't listen closely.

I love being able to check in at the nearest train station! Why don’t more cities have this!
I flew this from ICN to FRA when it was still proper first class. Great experience. Nice video Paul!
I spy an overground seat moquette arm chair in the sponsor👀😜
Not sure if it beats the Korean Air hospitality, still a good airline that does the basics well.

I hate that Noel Phillips. It's like watching a child review a plane

where was the message when you touched the aircraft !! Video is incomplete 😁
Bad or good service onboard, your videos still hit the mark. Good job mate!
Pampering personified!! Love the Business Class Suite. Thanks Paul💚👌👍
Korean Air is doing a 747-800 from Seoul to Heathrow..
So I’ve just seen! Hoping to try them sometime 👀
Great one Paul, did you know there is now a brand new lounge at Newcastle airport just opened.

Lol same! It doesn't work as well in North American 😂
Paul, What is the easiest way to identify the engines from RR to others?
I use the aircraft reg and look it up online! I use Airfleets.net

Great flight
What is coach like?
Also good because it's an A380. I believe you can get a seat on the upper deck in Economy Class.
It has been really hard to find an A380 operated flight outside of Emirates, Good Luck!!!

The difference in price from cattle-class to business NOT WORTH THE PRICE
haha … I was gonna ask what if you took one of those books on the plane … who cares, it's a HomeFill™
Thai airways over Asiana, gr8
Surly not as far to Tokyo as Bangkok
I just noticed that this seat is almost the same with new first class seat from Thai airways except without doors. Same boring and plain color choice as well. 😂😂
14:39 I've HAD it with these mutha-***in' steaks on this mutha-***in' plane!!
Basically a really old seat
A380 the future of air travel , more like white elephant unfortunately
What's so funny about Air Seoul? Is it a British thing?
Unimpressive. Not bad by any means, but not great
Steaks on a plane, huh?😅
Waste of money on such a short flight
a
Fake , ostentatious
I don't know why Asiana exists. I would never fly them, they seem like some random unknown airline on the fringe of...something.
They will merge with Korean Air in the future.
