    I gotta say, surefire really took care of me when I had a baffle strike. Literally only cost me shipping one way. Between the 2 of us, my close friend and I own 4 surefire rifle suppressors and they all have been wonderful.
    And as someone who went from a warcomp to a 3 prong, 3 prong is the way.

  • @luckythirteen2631

    SF carbon lock is from WarComp devices. The ports blow right into the mounting system. Run the SF devices with labyrinth seals/rings. The system will run quieter also. I’ve been super happy with my set up and there’s very minimal carbon on the mounting system.

  • @musician445

    There are definitely different purposes for different suppressors based on backpressure, sound suppression capability, weight and length requirements for your setup. But there are a lot of not quiet suppressors and a lot of quiet suppressors that are objectively better. PEW Science testing is the place to go to see how many of them stack up against each other and how the characteristics change on different platforms.
    I also highly recommend listening to Jay's Podcast to get the chance to pick his brain on how silencers function and why certain designs work better. Trust me its worth it. He's highly technical, but there are countless nuggets of gold all throughout his podcast series that will teach you tons.

      @@madbroindustries are those cans fully serviceable? I can take my Optimus and Mask apart and clean them. Maybe the caked on carbon causes issue over time if you don't clean them? I’ve got a Bushwhacker .46 in jail now but if I like it as I expect to, I’ll be standardizing my 4 kids setups with them and identical fast-attach mounting solutions as they’re all on my NFA trust. With smaller end caps Griffin is saying comparable DBs to 5.56 specific cans are achievable and can swap out to a CamLok piston for handgun mounting or trilug adapter on a pistol cal carbine. Griffin Bushwhacker is hopefully my one can to rule them all.

    Speaking of needing to mount the can fast, regarding the GA gate-lock system, another reason I went with it, aside from its ability to mount to NATO spec A2 devices, was the gate-lock system, and the ability to quickly mount it, and the following is why. I can run this can on literally all of my guns, but quick mounting would (hypothetically) come in handy with my bag gun, which is a 8.5" 300 blackout with a folding stock adapter, that fits into a sling bag (just a regular sling bag, not at all tactical, just looks like a book bag and raises no eyebrows). When rolling around with that bag, I keep the 30SD-K in the bag, and in the theoretical event I would need to deploy it, I can deploy the weapon quickly, but also mount the suppressor quickly, and get into the fight. That's part of my thinking behind the 30SD-K.

    I purchased a griffin recce 5 mod 4 almost 14 months ago and still haven't gotten it lol. Since then, I eformed a surefire 300 sps which is supposed to work well on 556 also. But man, is that a long and heavy can.

    I waited to get a silencer until eforms.
    I have a massive problem with buying something and not taking possession of it for however long it takes the government to decide when I can take physical control of the item I have already paid for.
    Well, let me tell you, big mistake!!
    Un-fucking-believable how inept these bureaucratic departments can be.
    1st, these clowns come out and say, 90 day wait time. They can't even come close to that. I'm currently at 175 days and counting!!
    What takes your LGS 5 minutes, takes the federal government 10 months.
    I will NOT buy another one until the unconstitutional NFA is repealed.

    So would you recommend Silent Captured Spring system to run suppressed? just wondering if it would really help the rifle cycle better.

    • @ApparitionBass
      @ApparitionBass 2 года назад +1

      Have a JP silent capture on my 10.5 SBR, it’s nice and makes things buttery smooth. But also using a rifle speed adjustable gas block and a Helios QD TI, so, low blow back and light!

    • @DD-hz3ts
      @DD-hz3ts 2 года назад

      No effect. All SCS does is make it slightly less annoying to change buffer weight and eliminate sproing. If you want to change cyclic rate get a Riflespeed gas block.

    So here’s a question:
    In regards to zeroing and carbon lock, what is a good recommendation if you are going to use a dedicated suppressor on a specific gun? It is my belief that shooting suppressed and unsuppressed will just make me have to rezero my gun all the time. I have a surefire rc2 on a m4 and a sandman k on a ak74.
    I’m other words, is it even a concern to worry about my suppressors getting carbon locked?

    • @travelingspartan2035
      @travelingspartan2035 2 года назад

      It'll still be a concern, but much less often, because remember that you'll want to clean the inside of that can every so often, which means being able to get it off the gun.

    I really wanna get a can but even with silencer shop kiosks the NFA process still seems really intimidating. Thinking about a B&T rotex V because it mounts on milspec A2 flash hiders.

    • @Sptsmn700
      @Sptsmn700 2 года назад

      Go for it! Watch a couple RUclips videos on the silencer shop kiosks and visit your local gun shop. I felt the same way until about a month ago and gave it a try. Very simple process once you do it once

    • @bakerz7269
      @bakerz7269 2 года назад

      Silencer process is super simple with Kiosk. Then the store can order your suppressor. Compared to my SBR where I had to go get the finger prints to mail in after the online e-file. Suppressor was easy

    • @JohnSmith-yx8kf
      @JohnSmith-yx8kf 2 года назад +1

      Completely depends on your individual rifle/suppressor. Definitely test different weights with different ammo, suppressed and unsuppressed (if you need it to run both), and maybe even look at something like a BRT EZTune gas tube after that if it’s still too gassy.
