The day finally came. But before we can go for it, why not kick things off with a Kingdom Hearts collab? After all, Kingdom Hearts, of all things, can be the thing to help more people get hooked on the franchise. Everyone else: NANI?????!!!!!!!

I'm so disappointed that namco keeps this series region locked. I watched the idolmaster anime back in the 2010s and fell in love with the 765 all stars. Watched videos on RUclips of the idolm@ster 2 and tried learning the dances. I even went out of my way to buy the game from the Japanese psn store, but I would pay twice the amount for a version with English subtitles!
I’ve started off my obsession with Idol culture due to the anime Love Live and I grew to love it so much so I decided to check out the other idol games! Just like this series and I absolutely love it! (I’m a huge fan of the cute type idols because I love pastel colors and pink and generally cute stuff!)
Literally came to this video out of always wondering what Idolm@ster was, didn't expect to see Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World literally 2 seconds in
Gonna have to stop here. This is a rabbit hole that I do not want to get stuck in. I came here from the Mio Honda meme and from that alone I can tell that I might get addicted.

so yeah i heard idolmaster for the first time in taiko no tatsujin and thinking it would only be xbox exclusive but after 5 years googling about that, i finally downloaded cinderella girls starlight stage 😅
I feel like other place were million live does pretty well is in Characters, the characters are well developed and have pretty good stories and background, like 765 AS tier or even more fleshed out in some aspects and well the colorfulness in designs really depends on the characters, since it's like a 60/40 when it comes to colorfulness since there is characters like tsumugi, kaori, matsuri, tomoka and some more xd, the deep stories are not really unique to shiny colors. Anyways pretty good video.
I've always seen some idolmaster stuff at book off and that got me vaguely interested, but now that I picked up a ps3 I was looking for some games and remembered some of those titles so this got me into it, thanks for the guide!
Well, thanks for the info, I see most idolmaster stuff cause I'm an Aimi fan, so part of the franchise for me is a no go right now, cause well you all know....
Nice video for a newcomer or a casual fan like yours truly! In my case I'm a huge fan of Bandai Namco's JRPGs saga the "Tales of" series and those games really like to use costumes, music and some voice talent from Im@s (and also thanks to a close friend IRL who's a Producer with all its letters) I was genuinely interested on the series and it was a matter of time before I fell in love with my dear 765-Pro girls with Miki-Miki as my favorite! Hahaha... (nice reference to Tales of Symphonia in the beginning of the video BTW)
SideM is the only franchise I'm familiar with but I lost track after the anime ended and the 1st game was discontinued. Will try out the new one soon,, I prefer to watch anime as an entry to the franchise and will probably go with Cinderella Girls first then revisit the OG 765. I've seen a Vtuber play the Shiny Colors game and it looks kinda confusing for me but I'm sure it has great content. The Anniversary song with each rep from the franchise was really special~
Finally a video I can share to my friends about idolmaster I tried to explain to my friends but meh I suck big time I wanna introduce them idols Edit: I am a fan of the Cinderella Girls franchise
i am currently only familiar with cinderella girls and i think it may be the one i stick with. i am the type that gets into things if i think the characters are charming and i cannot find any other branch’s characters charming enough, plus with imascg the way that i consume the media is the rhythm game, character art, and the music.
For me since i'm not really a gamer and mainly enjoys music more, i just listen to all the songs available (and i'm still not even close to done yet; chasing musics is actually very exhausting too) and then decide which songs captivates me the most Oh and also fanarts or doujins or cosplayers from twitter on any im@s characters; but these are secondary
Fact: Miura was fan of Chihaya Kisaragi since 1st vision (2008) and she has very emotional with her family. Part of Chihaya story was adapted in the anime The Idolmaster (2011)
While this was a nice, and fun informative video giving me more content for Im@s so I can enjoy it more casually… I’d like to blame Xenoglossia for somehow being my gateway here. Goddamn, Xenoglossia.

Fate series doesn't have any visual novel translated to English (Except Fate/Extra) officially but still it doesn't keep the fans from there, thanks to the dedicate fans.
I would never focus on any other protagonists in any game nor story except one singer, I would 100% let other singers from other stories come around to my protagonist and sing, stay a while maybe then leave again maybe return. But having these different branches of singers as the main protagonist is a big no under one author. It's bad idea forcing fans to remember all these protagonists, bad for business
Idolmaster doesn't directly try to make you become a fan of all of them or learn their names like one might in Pokemon (anexample exaggerated). Even within the idolmaster fandom, many only choose focus on support one single serie/ idol and decide to play when that character has an event or some new material, which is quite cyclical since they have to give screentime to everyone.
