I am a senior pastor in a Pentecostal church but I was born and grew up in an Anglican church. I was also an altar boy to the late Rt. Rev Seth Kale. I love this hymn and so many other Anglican hymns, because they all have meanings.
@olayemiogunleye3671 oh yes. If they have been practicing what they do today then. I wouldn't have left. Nowadays, there is revival, there is bible study and serious prayer meetings.
@pastoradewunmi1486 I partially agree with you.....though I had similar experience, but later discovered that other church denominations also have their own contending issues. It is only in Nigeria/Africa that we believe if you're not a member of a particular church, your heaven is not guaranteed .May God help and heal our minds
And the descants actually composed by Late James Adekunle who was organist and choirmaster of this church fir nearly 60 years without collecting a single salary.
