But will there be a continuous maintenance? Just look at the federal road from shagamo to Benin constructed by General Gowon has for years been a major death trap for people who are traveling through the road. Badly dilapidated and abandoned federal highway. And money expended over the years to carry out palliative maintenance on the road could have been enough to construct eight lanes highway, and with all necessary modern facilities included.

Within the political circle in Nigeria, it's a no brainer that Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) was one of Buhari's favourites. Buhari had deep respect and Admiration for BRF as a skilled Administrator and competent one at that. BRF attested in one of his interviews that President Buhari made sure that the repatriated Abacha loot was dedicated to Landmark works projects, cutting across all Geo-political Zones in Nigeria. Examples which are Lagos-Ibadan, 2nd Niger Bridge, Abuja- Akwanga etc. Fashola had his major projects funded through a special vehicle and was never starved of funds as alleged. He has done his bit and has handed over to the next person simple.

You don't know what your saying most roads in US are done on concrete and trust me it's cheaper and last longer, asphalt is expensive and the cost is determined by exchange rate
