This was the BEST BRAWL TALK EVER! Gray is such a unique brawler, no color and most probably doesn't speak either. I love where Brawl Stars is going with everything. There's so much happening I can't keep up with it all but I'm loving it! We can always count on Kairos to break it all down for us afterwards, thanks!
It is kinda sad that boxes are going away because it will most likely put an end to kairos brawler unlock challenges which were very fun and entertaining
also about the new player motivation, we have a daily login reward system now where you literally get a 2 free brawlers after 7/30 days which is pretty motivating.
My biggest concern is what is Kairos going to do for box opening challenge Edit: What I mean is how is he going to do for box opening challenge because there will be no boxes
Supercell: we’re removing brawl boxes from the game to eliminate randomness which is bad for the game. Also Supercell: Let’s release a new brawler who’s super is completely random
The only thing about the nature of this system that i predicted is. 1. Credits will be hard to obtain and brawlers will be very expensive 2. Because brawlers have a non-zero chance to get they will have to release EVEN more far more often
I have been thinking this too, it’s almost as bad as super cell with CR in the gold shower event… SS: we’re giving you all 90% extra gold in boxes… (The next update) SS: we’re deleting boxes from the game… Also game feels like a brawl credits sink… like won’t it be better to not use my brawl credits on a profile cosmetic and save it for the next brawler to come out?

I'm confused, if you get credits from the boxes AFTER the update drops, doesn't that mean it makes sense to wait to open boxes, because opening them now won't give you credits, but waiting might give you a head start on credits? This really needs to be clarified because some people sitting on a mountain of boxes and its still not clear on what will happen if they don't open boxes before the release drops.
The only point of the fame system is to prevent max out players to unlock new brawlers day 1. So I'm not a fan because if you want to play with the new brawlers you will have to buy them with gems or wait for a very long time until you get enough credits (it will be very long since you will start at 0 because of the fame system).
This Brawl Talk was so impressive! The dev team really showed us they care about the game. If there was any turning point for Brawl Stars, this would be the one! Crazy to think we are getting all this in one update: 1. THREE very unique looking brawlers - one of them being a legendary after more than a year! Oh and two of them are practically FREE brawlers! 2. No more boxes! A brand new way to unlock brawlers in the game using the new currency Credits! A total revamp of the progression system, which is so refreshing to see after so long. 3. 4 new Mythic Gears! 4. The best value Brawl Pass ever since we are getting half the gems back and extra credits! Plus we get to keep the rewards we unlocked so far as well! 5. A TON of new skins, didn't bother to count! All of them look amazing! 6. Brawlidays rewards! 7. A free skin for everyone as always for the 4th anniversary of the game. 8. A new cosmetic introduced to flex your OGness in Brawl Stars, which is great for long term players! I love this one a lot! 9. Duels are becoming permanent now, which is great since most players love the mode! 10. The new Starr Road provides new players an easy and simple road to getting new brawlers! No more randomness! And yeah legendaries won't take years to unlock anymore! After reading this list, there's no way you can say this update was anything less than amazing. Keep it up, Brawl Stars! I respectfully but firmly disagree, they're a form of gambling which shouldn't exist in a game alot of kids play... or really in any game at all tbh. It's possible SC did this as some european countries are already starting to consider lootboxes (including brawl boxes) as a form of gambling.
I think the best compromise would be to not let any boxes be purchasable with gems or on the top of the Brawl Pass, but still exist as free rewards that cannot be bought on the bottom and end of the Brawl Pass
The only thing i don’t really like is the Fame… i have every chromatic Brawler.. But it would be nice to convert the chroma credits Into something else.
Not a fan of my points being converted into fame points, I would rather have the option to save them so when a new brawler comes out I can get them right away

I just didn't understand one thing. The rewards that will be automatically collected from the brawl pass will only be the brawl boxes (R.I.P.) or will it be all of the stuff? I wanted to keep my brawler tokens so I can automatically push the new brawlers to at least level 9 on the 12th of December. It's kinda hard to understand from the brawl talk! Imagine at the end of a heist game when you're losing by a few percent and you're Mandy with a super... you could blast their safe from the other half of the map and get the win. All these brawlers are so cool!
i love the whole thing! except one small detail it feels like buying chromatic brawlers is gonna be kinda hard and frustrating... and it makes it harder for us free to play players to decide on which brawl pass we should purchase bc like if you lose one its gonna be so hard to unlock that brawler later on

From the looks of it they buffed power points and gold by a lot in the brawl pass so leveling will be much easier than before if you play actively and do your club league.

I played for over a year and a half after global launch just to get crow as my first legendary during the pam meta way back😭, itll be weird that no one else has to go through that, but i guess its a positive change
2:37 "There's no waiting a year to unlock your final legendary..." I played basically from global release and finally got my first legend at 15,800 on the first day of season 3. Nonetheless I think this update changed the game like no other, and I'm very curious about what Brawl Stars holds in the future. I look forward towards the 100% honest review vid :)
I think the issue is that there are too many types of currencies that will overwhelm the player. This leads to confusion and more spending as players do not understand the value of their goods.

I can see Chester super to be super annoying to play against, since you can only guess what kind of ability it will be. I don't think that having this kind of RNG in the game is a good thing, since for every other brawler as the enemy you know exactly what they can do at any time.
If you take a closer look all those are just abilities from other brawlers. There is the Dynamike super, EMZ normal attack, Byron self-heal gadget, Spike super and a sniper shot that stuns. And their damage have been nerfed. It will be super annoying to play with but I hope it will be balanced as time goes.
The update is great but removing boxes means brawl stars has lost a significant amount of revenue so how will they cope with it(they certainly wouldn’t want to go into loss)

i’ve been playing since public launch, took a few years break, and now i’m back and i STILL don’t have Leon yet. it’s my only missing brawler so thankfully this update helps players who are near end game too
I think it's funny that they're getting rid of boxes because they don't want the RNG aspect for unlocking brawlers. Then in the same update, they release a brawler based completely on RNG
How do we get to level up our brawlers after the update? I feel like they didnt say anything about power points since you get thos from boxes as well which they are removing… maybe i missed it but i dont think i did so how?

Something i'd like to just say Despite this update being good overall, I feel like this could be a gamble The main reason I'd say boxes were better, because they were just more fun This may be removing one of the bigger fun factors for some people I have no clue though, Still seems cool
I understand that brawl boxes counted as gambling, but that doesn't change the fact it was so fun to open them, so you're right on the fact it removes a fun factor for a lot of people lol
One of the gears would go to gale, probably his gear would also stun, and another is squeak, probably to gravitate enimies to the middle of his attacks
This update is a biggie! Props to the team on what they did. Though in my personal opinion, the most useless feature they added is the fame system. I would rather save my credits to unlock newer brawlers rather than claiming them, the ones from the brawl pass at least, to get something cosmetic. I guess I thought they could let us stockpile overflowing credits but that would be too btoken for currently maxed players, despite -counter argument- the fact that all progress is now under supercell’s control (even more than before, as if it weren’t) considering that luck is out of the game. I wish that they would’ve implemented something to give active players a chance to boost their progress by adding something akin to the token pool we earn from when playing, but for credit, but have it be a fixed max number of additional credits we can earn per week. The new brawlers are fun so far, but adding chester is a bit ironic considering they just removed boxes, he’s my least favorite from first glance. I guess we’ll have to wait and see for further details.
I feel like 3/4 new mythic gears are for legendaries. The Sand one for Sandy, The Eye with the cloud for Leon (because his Invisiheal star power has a similar design) and the drop for Amber (because oil droplets) Also In the Brawl Talk they said that Mandy's super can destroy a brawler, taking out Mr. P who has 4500 health even though the super just deals "3750 damage", which if it is the case, makes her have the highest damaging attack in the game.
I think the last mythic gear on the is for buzz because the dotted circle looks like its from his super so I'm guessing that if an opponent is an that area they will be slowed down which seems pretty broken
Getting rid of the boxes is a good move to future proof the game since more and more countries are tightening their legislation on mobile games having gambling mechanics. It is a very good change. The change will also benefit newer players in getting the newest brawler compared to old players who save up tons of boxes and opening them all at once when a new season drops.
Out of all the three new brawlers, I think Jester is my favorite for the time being, because a brawler with multiple supers is just a wild concept! He’s going to be lots of fun to play with!

I think Mandy’s star is the projectile speed increase cuz they didn’t mention it in brawltak atleast I didn’t catch it and the last time some mechanic like that was revealed it was foot patrol for grom
I really liked the brawl talk. Though, they didn't tell us how we will be able to get at least an equivalent amount of gold and power points. I assume that if from now on we would buy gadgets and star powers along with gears for gold, we will be able to get a ton of gold. My only question is how? How we will progress our brawlers? and not just how we will unlock them. Before brawl talk I thought that maybe they would remove power levels, but according to the brawl talk that wouldn't happen.

Yep, because at 16:18, even though Mr.P has 4500 hp, the shot instantly destroys him, despite it dealing “3750” damage

I'm guessing it won't, and tbh for new players trying to complete the game, from the sneak peak at the rewards, they're basically fucked to get a mythic or upper rarity. I'm so glad I'm only missing legendary brawlers. I would be Hella mad if I was starting the game from 0.

From the looks of it they buffed power points and gold by a lot in the brawl pass so leveling will be much easier than before if you play actively and do your club league.

The candy queen heavy sniper, the silent scout, and the wild card. Probably the most odd bunch of brawlers we have gotten in a while.
I played for over a year and a half after global launch just to get crow as my first legendary during the pam meta way back😭, itll be weird that no one else has to go through that, but i guess its a positive change
2:37 "There's no waiting a year to unlock your final legendary..." I played basically from global release and finally got my first legend at 15,800 on the first day of season 3. Nonetheless I think this update changed the game like no other, and I'm very curious about what Brawl Stars holds in the future. I look forward towards the 100% honest review vid :)
Question: is it better to wait till the update to progress in the brawl pass (if you have the free one) or to try to get as far as possible?
I believe when the update lands, a new season will begin, so try to complete it.

I think the issue is that there are too many types of currencies that will overwhelm the player. This leads to confusion and more spending as players do not understand the value of their goods.
The motivation from the free mega boxes on the free brawl pass is fading away and now I don't want to do quests anymore

I can see Chester super to be super annoying to play against, since you can only guess what kind of ability it will be. I don't think that having this kind of RNG in the game is a good thing, since for every other brawler as the enemy you know exactly what they can do at any time.
Because of the rng, his abilities should be toned down to be more mediocre, because the shock value of them will be enough to make them strong.
If you take a closer look all those are just abilities from other brawlers. There is the Dynamike super, EMZ normal attack, Byron self-heal gadget, Spike super and a sniper shot that stuns. And their damage have been nerfed.
It will be super annoying to play with but I hope it will be balanced as time goes.
The update is great but removing boxes means brawl stars has lost a significant amount of revenue so how will they cope with it(they certainly wouldn’t want to go into loss)
Maybe with skins? This update has a lot of skins. They also made that you can buy brawlers with gems

I think it's funny that they're getting rid of boxes because they don't want the RNG aspect for unlocking brawlers. Then in the same update, they release a brawler based completely on RNG

Despite this update being good overall, I feel like this could be a gamble
The main reason I'd say boxes were better, because they were just more fun

I understand that POV but my luck is trash and being guaranteed to get a brawler is more fun for me since I never got brawlers beforehand.
One of the gears would go to gale, probably his gear would also stun, and another is squeak, probably to gravitate enimies to the middle of his attacks

This update is a biggie! Props to the team on what they did. Though in my personal opinion, the most useless feature they added is the fame system. I would rather save my credits to unlock newer brawlers rather than claiming them, the ones from the brawl pass at least, to get something cosmetic. I guess I thought they could let us stockpile overflowing credits but that would be too btoken for currently maxed players, despite -counter argument- the fact that all progress is now under supercell’s control (even more than before, as if it weren’t) considering that luck is out of the game. I wish that they would’ve implemented something to give active players a chance to boost their progress by adding something akin to the token pool we earn from when playing, but for credit, but have it be a fixed max number of additional credits we can earn per week. The new brawlers are fun so far, but adding chester is a bit ironic considering they just removed boxes, he’s my least favorite from first glance. I guess we’ll have to wait and see for further details.

I feel like 3/4 new mythic gears are for legendaries. The Sand one for Sandy, The Eye with the cloud for Leon (because his Invisiheal star power has a similar design) and the drop for Amber (because oil droplets)
Also In the Brawl Talk they said that Mandy's super can destroy a brawler, taking out Mr. P who has 4500 health even though the super just deals "3750 damage", which if it is the case, makes her have the highest damaging attack in the game.
I think the last mythic gear on the is for buzz because the dotted circle looks like its from his super so I'm guessing that if an opponent is an that area they will be slowed down which seems pretty broken
The super does 3750 damage. Mr p died because a Bo attack hit him at the same time as Mandy’s suoer

I haven’t played in 4 months already, but the thought of a random super makes me want to play brawl stars instead in the holidays
Getting rid of the boxes is a good move to future proof the game since more and more countries are tightening their legislation on mobile games having gambling mechanics. It is a very good change. The change will also benefit newer players in getting the newest brawler compared to old players who save up tons of boxes and opening them all at once when a new season drops.

Honestly, you said that we shouldn't leave our boxes unopened before the update, but actually leaving them unopened is the better option! You have a chance to unlock Gray and Chester!

I think Mandy’s star is the projectile speed increase cuz they didn’t mention it in brawltak atleast I didn’t catch it and the last time some mechanic like that was revealed it was foot patrol for grom
I really liked the brawl talk. Though, they didn't tell us how we will be able to get at least an equivalent amount of gold and power points. I assume that if from now on we would buy gadgets and star powers along with gears for gold, we will be able to get a ton of gold. My only question is how? How we will progress our brawlers? and not just how we will unlock them. Before brawl talk I thought that maybe they would remove power levels, but according to the brawl talk that wouldn't happen.
