- "Running Up That Hill" is a song by the English singer-songwriter Kate Bush.
This is the version of "small is beautiful" together with "trionova" at the Festival called the "TRIONALE" in Duisburg in summer 2014.

The female singer has a great voice, a perfect renditition. The best cover I've heard.
This is a really difficult song to cover properly, and this band pulled it off excellently. Full marks!
It is hard. Singing high, then low, and then powerful at certain points in the song.... not easy. I crack up at times, doing all three of these things when applicable and I'm a fairly good singer. She and this group are very good!

Fun fact: Since Running Up That Hill reached number one in the Charts a few months ago (thanks to Stranger Things 4 using it in one of the most epic scenes to have come out of that show so far) Kate Bush, who owns 100% of the rights to the song, has been earning 250000 USD a week from a 32 year old song of hers.
I heard a lot of covers about running up that hill...... This is one of my three favourites! A really fresh one!! Thumbs up!!!!

Best thing about this cover that it doesn't fail like other covers do that try to change the song too much to make it their own. Have heard some bad covers of Running Up That Hill all because the artist didn't understand the song and it lost its soul when they changed it, making it fall flat. This is how you cover a song. It retains the heart and soul of the original. Beautifully done.

It is however possible to take a song and change it's soul through your own lens, creating something new.

Beautiful classical guitar and expressive lead vocals combine for a magical rendition of this amazing song. This band is my new RUclips favourite. Well done!
It's cool that this song is getting a revival. Excellent rendition! It stands on its own without trying too much to emulate the original. In fact, it's beautiful contrast from the original (which was very electronic, having been programmed into a Fairlight CMI sampler/computer/workstation). Nice vocals, background vocals, dynamics, guitar arrangement and rhythm, it almost kinda has a Fleetwood Mac vibe to it.
Thought, for a moment, that was Rick Wakeman, second from right, great cover version of one of Kates best songs, of which all her songs are great.
Perfect performance from everyone. Super jelly of the lead vocalist, surrounded - but only by a few strings & percussion - with such intense emotion. Full bodied, i felt each and every measure from the tip of my head to my toes. Thanks you for this.

Nicely done! At first I was unsure of the difference in style, but you wowed me! Starting with that voice! So nice and rich and clear. And the harmonies were so right, and I especially loved the brief a capella sections. I'll be back to listen again!
