Howdy folks 👋 Look out for Part 3 of the series next Friday! Here's the timestamps for the video: ~ Bandit 11-12 : 1:19 ~ Bandit 12-13 : 5:12 ~ Bandit 13-14 11:03 ~ Bandit 14-15 13:59 ~ Bandit 15-16 16:24 ~ My Final Thoughts: 20:21
hey anya thanks for the wt for level 16. how did you know that p31790 will work right away? is there a way to run through the ports quickly to find that out? thx - X
Hi X -- good question! After you run the nmap scan and get your ports, you can test SSL connections with the "openssl s_client" command in the video. For example, if you do "openssl s_client -connect localhost:31046" you will see the SSL handshake fails and there is no peer certificate available (indicating that there's an incorrect SSL configuration). You will get similar output for all but that one port (31790) that is configured to speak with SSL. For 31790, you see that the SSL handshake process is successful and then prompts for your input. I hope that helps clarify the solution!
I do - Kris was a big inspiration (for me and many others) and a wonderful person. Her passing was definitely a huge loss to the Kubernetes/Cloud/Linux communities, but her impact will endure for a long time in tech.

@@anyasciiTV ah I see, so you just run through the ports using the openssl command…
@@x.av1er Yep, that's correct!
Try to slow down as you complete steps while you explain. Several times I've had to stop and playback to catch what I've missed.
Thank you for the comment! I've been working on my pacing and will continue to keep this in mind. Appreciate the feedback.
@@anyasciiTV keep up the good work 👍🏾
@@freerangemoviestv Thanks! Wil do 🙂
Hi Anya, do you remember Kris Nova :(
I do - Kris was a big inspiration (for me and many others) and a wonderful person. Her passing was definitely a huge loss to the Kubernetes/Cloud/Linux communities, but her impact will endure for a long time in tech.
@@anyasciiTV Her souls will run at containers kernels and big servers. Btw the serie is pretty awsome :)
@@mando2908 Indeed it will! Thanks for watching, I've had a lot of fun going back to Bandit and look forward to getting out the last 16 levels!
