I just came across your channel and I am so happy. You have such a cheerful demeanor and it just made me want to be a more positive person. Your love of fall is right up there with mine. The smells, sounds, vibes of fall cannot be beat. This will be the first year, ever in my life, that I will be missing fall on the East Coast. New England is spectacular in the fall. I will miss it very much, so, I will just have to recreate that vibe by getting fall candles and making my home fill with apple, spice, cinnamon, and pine. And, I will make my famous crock pot stew. Stewing beef, browned in pan and put right in the crockpot. Four large onions sliced thinly and cooked in medium to large pan on stove. Cover them, tin foil is fine, stirring occasionally, until soft. Add 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper and 2 tsp Thyme. Stir for a couple of minutes. Add 1 TBLS sugar. Stir. Add 1/4 flour, wonder flour is the best, no clumping, and, quickly add two bottles of Sam Adams Boston Langer, I tried many types, but the darker Sam Adams is the best. Stir for another minute. Pour onion/beer mixture in crockpot over stewing beef. Cook on low eight hours or high for five. Serve over homemade mashed potatoes and a side of biscuits. If you also want a green with this, as, it is a very pale meal, you can make a simple side salad. Your home will smell like fall cooking for days to come.

I have tried it many many ways, experimented with putting more onions, and keeping the rest the same, or, putting a third beer in, absolutely would not not not try, as, it became so bitter that it was not edible, even with more sugar added. Whew! Yes, I have tried it many ways and the one I wrote to you is the one everyone likes best. I forgot to put the amount of flour! Haha. It is 1/4 cup. It gives it a slight thickening. But, get the beer in immediately after the flour, so the flour does not clump and stick. And, definitely do not forget the sugar, as I did one time, blah! Too bitter. Anyway, I will be here anxiously waiting to hear what you and your family think. And, if you do not like it, you can definitely call me out on it. Haha. I am to blame. I know they say that it is just the leftover cuts from the butcher, and, it is better to get a good cut and cube it yourself, but, I cannot afford that. The stewing beef is affordable, and, it seems to taste lovely, even though it may not be the best cut of meat. Put a bit of olive oil in a pan and brown both sides. Do not cook it, just brown it to lock in the juices. Put it right in the crockpot, and use the same pan with the oil and meat drippings to soften your onions. Oh my goodness! I am so sorry to be writing so much. I am not used to writing comments to anyone, or, talking to people in general, so, I am a bit nervous. Haha. I guess I want you and your family to like the stew, as, i now feel responsible. Good luck! I hope you enjoy. And, if not, yikes. Haha.
Fall is my favorite, I love everything about it! I live in the south, I feel the shift in the air and a few of the trees in our yard are starting to change color a little bit. It has been a hot summer! I was over it in June 🤣

I absolutely adore fall too! That’s my birthday season 😊 I’ve been enjoying summer a lot over the past few years and I’m not ready for the cold weather yet! 😅It actually is a bit chilly today and was yesterday too. I love all the fall foliage though, uh just so beautiful! 😍 Spring and fall have always been my most favorite seasons though because they are those “transition “ seasons. Both have the most beautiful colors to look at! Patience with the kids is what I’ve been working on for quite a while now. ❤
I remembered that your birthday was around mine! I am not ready for the snow just yet. Fall doesn't last long enough here before the snow hits. So that's one of the only drawbacks. Lol that and the rain. It's been cooler here, too, but then this weekend, it's back to high 80s. 🥵 Yes, I agree about spring and fall! They are definitely very beautiful! Fall here in Florida is really not that different other than a few slightly cooler days. I understand the appeal of wanting that fall foliage but summer is definitely my favorite season. So i guess we can't be friends anymore 😂😂

The last winter we were there, it was 100 on Christmas day. It definitely did not feel like Christmas. Lol so totally agree on it not being much different in the fall.
