Here's a quick tone selection of an older Made in the USA Peavey Classic 50 cranked at home on the clean and dirty channel! Many people said the Tele sounded great with this amp, so here are a few more sound samples for you. The microphone on the amp is an AEA N22 Ribbon Microphone!
After playing through a Twin Reverb, Blues Junior, VoxAC30 and others I discovered the Peavey Delta Blues 115 and I get incredible warm tones and variation of tones I couldn't get on the other amps! And they tend to sell for much cheaper than the above mentioned amps. Thanks for showcasing this wonderful amp!
Been using Peaveys most of my 30 playing years. They don't break! I have a Peavey Mace (100w tube) And a Delta Blues 1x15 (30w tube ). Perfect for classic rock!
Nice Shane!! A mate had the 1 x 15 yrs ago, he got great rockabilly tones from it. The Tele sounds great thru it btw! Now let's watch the price of these Classics rise!!
Tom Morello, on a Primer Guitar Rig Rundown five years ago, stated that he has been using the same amp rig for most of his career. Thirty-five years ago, all his amp gear was stolen and he had a session in a few days. So, he went to the nearest music store and got whatever they had … a JCM800 head and a Peavey 4x12 cab. At the time (and really until now) no hip rock and roller would be caught dead with a Peavey, so the first thing he did was remove the logo. That, in a nutshell, is how Peavey’s are so “overlooked”. With respect to a guitarist I totally admire, the cool guys deemed Peaveys uncool … and so it was.
That's true in the hard rock/metal genre. But with blues and Americana, countless pros proudly use them even to this day. But yeah if you only listen to heavy stuff in your mom's basement it ain't all that cool. But being cool doesn't equate to cool music, hit songs, or being a good musican. It equates to insecurity of wondering what others will think.
@@joegoliver3 The funny thing is Ted Nugent used Peavey Classic 410's so much he had custom covers made for them sometimes. He sold a few of them a few years back - one was covered in Real Tree camo tolex. I doubt anyone would think Ted Nugent plays soft music. There's definitely a reason Peavey is called the Marshall of Mississippi. The things simply rock, sing, cry, and everything in between.

Those old Peaveys were monsters and still are, often overlooked in the Fender vs. Marshall debate.

I have an original early 90’s model. Weighs about 90lbs because it’s made of actual wood and not press board. Best sounding amp EVER
The Peavey Classic 50 4x10 should be an amp that is in your permanent collection.

West coasters didn’t think any good amps could come out of MS.

She sounds KILLER Shane! \m/
Peavey amps have been on more stages than their more esteemed brethren.
Imho. The drive channel always has a sweet spot that makes engineers go wow.
Nice. That Peavy has the sounds man
Great playing!
Killer combination!!!
thats why you make the big bucks
Sounds great Shane 🎸🎸🎸🤟🤠🤟🔊🔊🔊🔊🎵🎵
Damn that sounds good!!!🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸
Sounds great, no more to say
That’s baby making music
Would this amp be overkill for a small apartment where you don't want to piss off the neighbors? Love how it sounds. Nice playing.
Yes its way too big for that. You need a sub 5-watt amp with a 10" speaker or smaller.
Cool intro.
Nice ! 👍🏻
Nice
