CPA, Hon. CS John Mbadi simply fulfilled his duties as expected. In Kenya, however, people are accustomed to mediocrity and often view leaders as kings and queens rather than public servants. When a CS performs their responsibilities properly, it seems extraordinary, but it shouldn’t be. Let’s normalize it. Congratulations to Hon. Mbadi for doing your job impartially and without favoritism.

I think there is nothing wrong with being associated with my tribe especially when I do some good work, the same way you guys would associate a failure with his tribe what's the difference bro? In short, we have been missing this kind of humble leadership since we voted in 2013. Instead Mbadi was running almost faster than kasmuel when they were demonstrating over election injustices, we became the laughing stock, but why? Can't Luo's have their ultimate freedom from being victimized left, right and centre? We have all agreed the position is to serve all Kenya, that's for a fact.

Mbadi is a "people person". Chairing an large active, fairly noisy party like ODM with inbuilt highly competing factors in addition to being an MP for over 10 years is not easy. This raises questions on the wisdom, or lack of it thereof, of trying to keep politicians out of CS appointments. The lines of Njuguna Ndung'u could have had the technical competence to run their dockets. But with poor social skills, they found it hard to put across their ideas.
