They bough licences from eu and japaneese bikes to copy them and made them super reliable to prove the world they will be part of the big 5 in next 10 years. I bet cf moto will buy ktm down and soon develop better bikes. They are coming to moto gp to prove their point. The governement from china is helping them financilay. Now is the best time to buy it and sell it for the same price in 5 years when they will be much more expancive amd be a big name.
My only concern would be the relatively small dealer network. Not sure i fancy having a warranty issue when the nearest cfmoto dealer is 80 mile’s away. If you are a beginner you need a dealer on your doorstep for support
i totally understand that, however MotoGB are a massive company and they have started selling them in a few of their dealerships. hopefully more will follow.
Had one off these 2018 model had 34 miles on it when I got it had it five years 24800 miles just changed pads sprockets chain and oil tyres etc as you would absolutely amazing for the dollar just traded in for nk800 advanced fantastic piece of kits 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This bike came 4th at the TT once so can't be a bad bike at all, albeit it had some mods but was the same engine and chassis etc though. Bit of a bargain price and as you say, perfect first big bike..
I own the same 22 650nk. Bought it for 3999 US dollars! The truth is, Japan is selling their bikes for way more (maybe double) and it used to be that when you bought a Japanese bike in America, it was either built in Japan or America. Now they're built all over God's green earth. So I won't worry about brand names anymore. Cnc manufacturing has allowed good bikes to be built anywhere you can get good steel.
Even more so now. I bought one last November when it was reduced by a grand to £4.5k. It is now going for £4k. I'm guessing it is a run out model so if you want one grab it quickly.
I've been looking for my dream motorcycle for 60 years. Now I'm looking for my dream rocking chair. Be careful on your motorcycles, or you might be dreaming of how soon you can get out of the hospital.
I really like the look of this bike, & even though its a bit of a cobbled together affair it's just amazing value. Ive heard reviewers (& read comments) complaining that it's too heavy & its got limited power, but if the frame is solid thats no issue if you like to manhandle a bike & 60hp is plenty for having fun on our roads. And i like a bit of heft, it makes a bike feel smoother & more planted. As for the question of your vlogs, like the riding part more cos, even though you can't make a purchasing decision based on someone else's experience, its always enjoyable hearing their opinions as they're riding, particularly when they go falsetto! 😅 👍
Thanks for the feedback. I had loads of fun on this. It’s didn’t feel heavy. Did lack power compared to the 800nk that I’ve been on. But it’s certainly enough to have fun on.
@GillyBikes the 800 is next gen by comparison. Saw a review of the new 450 nk earlier, that looks amazing too. It'd probably give that 650 a run for it's money.
Not as good looking as the 800 but still close enough to have no reasons to complain. All the motorcycle one needs at a very sharp price. I might have similar fitment issues though. 😁
There are always accessories to add. However if you’re looking for something to tour on. Check out the new Voge DS900x. I’ve just spent the day with one on the UK launch. Wow. What a bike. Comes fully loaded with luggage 👍
Good on ye Gilly M8, I don't fancy driving a car in that weather never mind a bike, in the early 70s in Scotland in-between Edinburgh an Glasgow where I grew up an still live, the rain was more like that drive you just had on that bike every effn day, probably the reason I got stalked by miss lonely heart tarmac so often too many times she managed to fool me off (yeah) fool, me off my at the time girlfriend lovely miss Norton an before that miss Bsa so persistent was miss Tarmac I was talked into a car ( I think that's why I'm still here, too many aren't, anyway watching this vid just makes me bum pucker up real tight at one or two moments I felt myself leaning into the corners trying to feel if the front or back wheel still had grip, just incase you weren't paying attention, maybe the new rubber that is fitted today helps a lot, still tho l'm keen to get back on two wheels but not sure how high a cc I'll be sitting on, i just hope miss tarmac has lost her crush an got over my good looks and moved on to leave me alone, an let me get where i'm going.
I think the new rubber is much better than it used to be. You should go and try some. Most garages have demo bikes. I’m sure you could borrow one for an hour 🤔
@@GillyBikes I know things aren't the same as they were back then I have a A on my ticket but no gear so I'm not bold enough to walk into a dealership and ask for anything never mind a bike for an hour.
Himmy 411cc are £3799 now all over the uk. Don’t think it’s fair to compare this bike which is great value btw but you wouldn’t take it to green lanes and wrestle it through the mud.
I think both bikes are great value. Completely different bikes. In the adventure bike world the 411 is amazing value for money. This takes value to another level though. A lot of bike for the money.
I reckon they have got these modern bikes totally out of proportion . They look like they have been designed by IT & gamer nerds . The rear pad on the seat is up in the air leaving the rear wheel stuck out ,requiring that cheap tacky grotesque poor excuse for a rear mudguard come number plate & light bracket . They didn’t seem to be designing modern naked street bikes to be owned & ridden by humans any more .
@@GillyBikes I reckon the bikes they designed in the 1970 ‘s up until they totally started losing the plot in the 2000 ‘s looked better . After that bar one or two bikes ,they look more like tacky grotesque mechanical insects on wheels . Obviously designed by IT & gamer nerds who live in cyberspace & think we all do as well .
@@GillyBikes Yes the cruisers do tend to keep the old style looks , although I have noticed some have ,rear ends that look like a scrap heap challenge afterthought . I thought some of the old Japanese semi styled cruisers were a better compromise , they had a bit of the look but not so extreme as the fully laid back feet far forward full on cruisers we tend to see now . 👍
This bike 100mm longer, as well as being a bit wider & taller than a Yamaha MT07. It's also had a lot of design input from the people who design modern KTM bikes! 👍
Chinese made bikes are excellent these days. I've got one .
They really are. I have one as well. They are upping the game and keeping the prices down.

Just bought one, same color combo. Looking forward to breaking it in and just to rediscover riding with as a come back biker after almost 15 years.
This is a great choice to get back into it. Enough power and really nice to ride. Stay safe 😎
The rain-master returns🤣👍
😂. One day I will shock you all with a ride in the sunshine 🤞

@@GillyBikes Also insurance premiums are high; no idea why that is
@@neilanderson2374 now that i cant explain. I wouldn't have expected them to be any more expensive than any other 650.
Give it 5 years, they will be every where
I need to see both walk around and the ride.
Thanks for the feedback 😁

That’s a great bike as well. Did you get the one with the touch screen?
Yep big screen getting used to it great bike sounds so good with that quick shifter 👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼
@bradleylane8377 I’m jealous. I would love one. So much fun. It just kept pushing me to go faster and faster. So be careful out there. Ride safe. 👍

Definitely. Unbelievable value
Would love to see you review the CF650MT or the updated CF700MT seriously considering one.
I like the 800MT they are great bikes. I’ve not had chance to try the others yet. Hopefully get back to Appleyard Motorcycles soon and try some more.
im liking that bike, do you know if it can get a top box fitted?
I’ve done a quick google and there are lots of top box / luggage options available. 👍
Kawasaki er6 , z650 engine copy, sold engine , I'd say good value bike 👍
The Kawasaki’s are great bikes as well. But you could buy 2 of these for the price of a new 1 of those.

That’s very true and I really like these. Build quality looks really good.
Almost everything has at least a little Chinese in it now days.
You should defenetly worry about teh brand name. Cf moto is now part of it. Dont buy other bikes made from china. Beneli maybe
This is a fantastic bargain…quite incredible

lol.
