Those windows at 2:05 are "smart glass". Basically it's a simple liquid crystal layer laminated onto the glass - like an LCD TV, but much simpler. When you switch on the electricity the liquid crystal layer acts like a giant light shutter, dimming the window - turn it off and it becomes transparent again. It's much more common to find this in office windows in modern office buildings as a security/privacy feature.
