An impression of Albufeira Old Town, Algarve, Portugal (26th June, 2020)

Albufeira would normally be packed with tourists at this time of the year. These shots were taken around 21:00 (9pm) on a Friday night. Covid-19 has badly hit tourism in the Algarve, many bars and restaurants are still closed, but things can only get better. We're waiting for you! The stage at Bar "7 1/2" is in position and ready for action...

Yes, it was like a ghost town... very sad. Fortunately (now approximately 3 weeks since this was filmed) things are much better; there's live music on some terraces, restaurants are getting busier and people are starting to enjoy holidays once again. Still a long way to go, but hopefully the worst is over!
