Today I'm going to talk about the benefits of Nordic curls, what are the reasons to do Nordic curls and also do a review on the iron soul equipment Nordic strap that allows you to do Nordic curls at home or when you travel.
Nordic curls are a bodyweight leg curl or a calisthenics hamstring curl or calisthenics hamstring exercise. So with that now you don't have to go to the gym and use the hamstring curl machine but can now use your bodyweight for resistance and do it at home. For any of you that are calisthenics only this will be a fantastic exercise to add to your training or calisthenics leg workout

Nordic curls are great for building strength and muscle in the hamstrings, have been shown to reduce injury and also increase performance in sprinting, running and jumping. Plus with bigger stronger hamstrings your leg exercises are also bound to improve too.

Thanks for the kind words Lee 💪
Thanks for sending it out to review. Great product
@@LeeDowningKeat hey I notice with us who do them on doors your ankles are forced into a dorsiflexed position and laying flat against the door like you can push-up on them does that affect the effectiveness of the exercise at all? I feel my calves activating
Is there more of an injury risk doing hamstring curls with a dumbbell than with these nordics? Besides that i think with nordics you can progress much further, because a dumbbell is going to get too heavy at some point, so that you can´t hold it anymore, squeezing your feet together, which would limit progress then for sure.
I’m not sure tbh I’ve never done them with dumbbells, I’ve done the standing and lying down and seated on a Machine and found the standing wasn’t that good and the lying down the best. I wonder if it’s the eccentric in the nordics that work so well and how you can use your glutes too
@@LeeDowningKeat yea, the activation is really good in that lying position, even with a dumbbell.
I can’t seem to get it hooked over my heels properly. my feet don’t stay up against the door and slant forward and it slips off. can’t keep proper tension on it perform a curl 🤷🏽♂️
Are you wearing shoes? Perhaps stack an extra pad or pillow to get more tension.
@@adamantiumknot yes im wearing shoes. just small feet i guess 8.5 🤷🏽♂️
It means that anyone can do it in 10 min. DIY. A strong piece of string and a piece of wood.
Thank for sharing.
Thanks for watching, sorry for late reply, didnt get notification
How do you use this thing??
Did you watch the video? @2:10 he places it under the door and uses it...
@kratorz1 😆
I use a under door sit up bar cheap and does the job
that's a good shout to help people on a budget do this exercise
Please can you put a link to see the type you mean?
@@michaelmikejo7713 sorry don't know the exact one I use as I have had it years just Google under door sit up bar
Waa that english. Help. I am knew. What advice did OP just give?
You stated absolutely nothing on the sets and reps to do? How many times per week?
In the video I was stated the benefits of nordic curls, this wasn't a workout guide to them. The purpose of the video was to highlight the benefits of an exercise than many people don't do on a muscle that is often neglected. Atm I do nordics on a ghd at a gym and have been adding them in like any other exercise 2x a week for 3 sets. Doing sets of 10 atm but are not full nordics and I need to build up to the full one myself
damn this is interesting. i notice with this you dont bend your spine which is good for sciatica
Thanks for watching and yes its an interesting item and feels very good on the hamstrings, yes try and focus all the work on the hamstrings and limit bending
That's great, except you can't buy this thing in the US. So who gives a hoot?
Apologies mate, we're trying to sort out US shipping as we speak. But until we can bring the price down, I just don't feel comfortable charging customers $30+ for shipping.
If you were inteligent a bit you would do it yourself diy one in 10 minutes.
String piece of rope and piece of wood. Don't have at home. Go to wood and cut a slice from broken one.
ah ha! They're sold out hehe
They are that popular 💪
Put them back live now - we’ve got a new shipment coming in 5-7 days so currently doing a bit of a preorder discount!
