Just to put it out there, I haven't watched the 9b trailer yet. I didn't even know it was out until I just read a comment 😭 (plz someone revive the TNS RUclips channel).
It's on CBBCs Instagram and TikTok. I need to finish 9a before I watch it, I've got 2 episodes to go!! I'll react to it ASAP!! 😂😘

I loved Team Heat’s storyline this episode. Showing men’s mental health being important too and not just brushing past his grief.
I personally liked when Kenzie said "Jett didn't feel like changing her attitude".
ive realised that we haven't seen any changes in scenery in so long!! remember in season 1/2 where we'd see them in the park/at home/at school? they've only been in the studio and in cha cha's this season!!
I know right, I think about that all the time. I think having change of location makes it feel more realistic and not like a... set
I feel like budget has affected the show. Like internationals may be in their studio
Right, and with Internationals not taking place at a specific location and instead being livestreamed, the set/location aspect of the show is very stale now which really sucks

Team Heat all the way! The Heath and Pete scenes were one of my favourite parts of this episode as felt like a nice dive into mental health of men and showcasing how Pete’s grief with his grandpa hasn’t just gone away even after he talked to Kenzie. He’s still processing it. And when he confessed to Heath about how much he puts a brave face to hide away his pain with the “Sweet Pete” image and the struggle in trying to stay strong really hits deep and puts his emotions and feelings into greater perspective.
I love how Heath supported Pete and encouraged him to open up more to his friends and family. Even telling him that he and Kenzie have his full support is beautiful. The only thing that would make that scene even better was Heath hugging Pete at the end. I feel like he really needed that and I was waiting for it to happen as we need more male characters hugging each other and being affectionate. But seeing them dance together was still nice and comforting. Great material for Carter and Ben.
13:58 - Yes. Ariana was genuine in that moment but seeing her manipulating Jett is interesting to watch too because of how it slowly changes into Ariana starting to develop real feelings for Jett as a potential friend. The deeper she schemes, the more conflicted she feels which is creating a good dilemma as now she’s torn between Grace and A Troupe. The Eldon and Nick scenes were fine. It’s great to have more Eldon. And Kenzie and Jett clashing was also good drama. I love how Kenzie stood her ground and cut her off the dance and it’s now making Ariana feel even more conflicted and guilty of what she’s doing.

i really liked the heath and Pete scenes, it definitely felt deep especially because we rarely see deep moments between the TNS males, so it was a really heartwarming moment. i actually liked eldon and nick's scenes haha because I feel like both their personalities kind of compliment each other in a way, but I do wish that eldon became the choreographer. also season 9B is coming to cbbc on April 26th so we don't even have to wait long for the second half of the season this time, which seems very different 😅

Have you got a favourite song in the s9 soundtrack? Mine is definitely ‘Hurts Me The Most’ but I do think the s8 soundtrack was stronger mostly because of Chad/Shad.

I loved the Heath and Pete conversation, it got me so emotional, I know exactly how Pete feels so it definitely hit home and I really appreciated it. The Eldon and Nick plot was fun, was it necessary? Ehh...not entirely, but it was a nice bit of fun and lightheardedness...and I enjoyed seeing Nick do *something* lmao.
I completely agree with your point about tying everything in, I think that's an issue this season has so far.

I love this episode. You mentioned that Eldon was Mr. International Soloist winner, it's actually Kyle from Sweden of Stockholm Dance Theatre who won Mr. International Soloist. I love Heath and Pete's duet to Stronger, it was incredible; we need an extended dance of Heath and Pete's Duet. Kenzie and Jett brought a ton of attitude in this episode. I feel like Kenzie shouldn't have kicked Jett out of the dance. Jett only danced the Final routine at Nationals with A Troupe and that was it. I don't understand the dynamic between Eldon and Nick; in Season 7 Nick was obsessed with Dancemania while Emily brought Eldon to prep with Nationals. I'm confused with how they are friends when didn't like each other at first, I feel like they should explain it. I love Heath and Pete's heart to heart moment. I feel like the rest of the team should be involved this episode like help prep with Internationals, etc. Like where's B Troupe at, we could have a scene with B Troupe. I hope Ariana and Jett are friends. Ariana doesn't want to be evil anymore and I know Grace won't let her. I agree that they should have a scene of Kenzie and Jett having a conversation. I like how they mentioned AcroNation in this episode. International is right around the corner and it's not Internationals ready yet. Hopefully A Troupe will be prepared for Internationals. I'm looking forward to your next reaction video. Also, please do ranking The Next Step Season 9 Soundtrack and as well other Soundtrack of The Next Step.

I just saw the Season 9B trailer and I’m really excited for it! You should definitely do a S9 soundtrack ranking soon but maybe after the 9B soundtrack comes out. Destination Go and the song that plays in the credits of episode 11 are probably my favourites so far. I do think the Season 8 soundtrack is still better though purely because the new tracks it had were insanely good! Shad and Cleo had so many bops in the last season. Same for Kingston’s Keep Your Lips Shut track. Cannonball, Way Out, The Feeling, Electric State etc. So many good ones from last season. S9’s soundtrack is still good but I’m not vibing with it as much as Season 8’s soundtrack. I’m actually noticing more older tracks so far in this first half. But Destination Go, Grace’s Corner and the Episode 11 credits song are the best so far, especially Destination Go. That song is still a banger!

Alishea idk if you know this but earlier in the series you said you wanted the soundtrack. If you have spotify (you can get the non-premium version for free if you don't- that's what i have and it works ok) then you find the next step (artist- it's not the first thing that comes up in search but you should hopefully find it) i'm pretty sure on there they've released the season 9a soundtrack.

As it’s now a streaming show in Canada it won’t be out until cbbc airs all 22 episodes so later in 2024
