I have one question. What would be a more efficient way to poll? 1- Call a PHP file which queries for a database and retrieves some kind of information and pass it as json from the same php file. 2- In some way, execute a database procedure or something in a loop that modifies a file if there are changes and make the poll to that file. And, could I only run polls whenever a change is made in the database? I mean, instead of polling continuously, just trigger something from the database or from php code whenever a change is made in the database in a certain able and then change that file or retrieve the json to a JS from a php file?
