What would happen it you put the center console all the way up front in the bow? It would plane better. You could fish right from the drivers seat. There would be an open floor plan behind the helm.
The boats handle it just like a similar sized Alloy boat would , with the benefit of the Poly flexing on impact which absorbs the on water vibration into the hull which creates a more comfortable ride .If you are seriously considering purchasing a Polycraft then I recommend you contact a Polycraft dealer for a test drive so you can experience that for yourself.
Why is the splash well so low? Why not carry it up to the sheer line so the boat is more ocean capable? Would it compromise some other aspect of the design?
The top end speed depends on propeller size and pitch and the payload in the boat. In saying that the average speed on a Drifter with a 50hp would be around the 27 knot mark.
Should you not be wearing the kill switch lanyard on your wrist, while demonstrating the boat publicly? 🙄 Like the boat quite a lot all the same and a reasonable review.

Transom length is distracted by the leg length of the recommended engine. That's 20 inch for the 450 Drifter

Yes...i have an older 4.55 drifter dual console w 60hp yanmie 2 stroke and i can tow skiers etc..so enine has a lot to do with it as well.

Yep, you can mount a 300 HP motor. The boat will sink, but you can mount it.

The plastic is a good product. However you Hull shapes are terrible, above and below the water line. Get a decent Naval Architech on board !
