WHO WE ARE:
We are Christina, Katherine, Lisa, Amy, and Lauren Cimorelli, 5 sisters originally from Northern California who are now based in Nashville, TN. We grew up singing in a big family of 11 children and our mom, a classical pianist, taught us to sing in harmony when we were kids. We got our start in musical theatre productions, doing classical pieces in the church choir and performing barbershop harmonies at nursing homes for the elderly (back then our grandma was our agent).
In 2009, when Christina was 18 years old and Lauren was 10 years old, we posted a cover of us singing Party In The USA that ended up going viral. From that video, we were discovered by a manager in London, and shortly after signed with Universal Music Group under Island Records. We moved to Los Angeles in 2010, where we lived and worked in the L.A. pop music world for 5 years, before getting extremely burnt out. We realized a major label deal wasn’t for us, left our label and moved to Nashville, TN, looking for a new start. In 2015, we officially became Nashville-based, independent artists.
Since then, we have written and released 5 albums of original music, toured all over the U.S., South America, and Europe, performed at festivals in Germany, Spain and the Philippines, wrote a book, Believe In You: Big Sister Stories and Advice on Living Your Best Life, started a podcast (The Cimorelli Podcast) and reached over 1 billion views on our RUclips channel. Currently, the 5 of us sisters are embarking on new journeys of marriage and starting our own families (Christina, Katherine and Lisa), and figuring out life as twenty-somethings (Lauren and Amy).
Our goal with our RUclips channel is to constantly challenge ourselves to grow creatively, and to make videos and music that is positive, uplifting and innovative. Our Christian faith guides our decisions, and we will always create content that is family friendly, while not being afraid to touch on topics that we believe are important, such as mental health and personal growth. I honestly love this kind of video. It feels like a true sneak peak into the group’s lives and gives us a completely different perspective than the their usual ‘totally spotless, perfectly prepared, meticulously planned’ just singing vids. (Which I still majorly enjoy, don’t you worry!!) Lisa as hilarious and lovable as ever, Amy stressed ... as per usual (love that girl!) but also that Kath excels in her literary abilities and Christina’s inspo often comes from a good old walk in fresh air! I just feel like we glean such different insight from this sort of vid because we see these wonderful women in their more comfortable environments, so we learn even more about who they each are, their personalities, little quirks, natural energy, skills and interests. Plus it was super cool to hear which sister does what in the ‘behind the scenes’ of Cimorelli. I love how perfectly their roles have been delegated as well and that each sister gets to use their unique area of expertise to keep the band running - allowing them all to flourish in their own ways. Such lovely principles.
It especially warmed my heart to see Amy (seemingly) a little less stressed in this video, as well. Don’t know if she just felt more comfortable filming in her own time or just that it wasn’t captured as much as it sometimes is - but it felt like she was a little more calm / at peace which made me so proud! Go Amz!
Basically I just love you guys and all your videos ... but this one felt particularly special for some reason so I wanted to try and tell you how nice it was to see and say thank you for always making me feel like there’s at least one family that I can count on, for giving me an escape, and lifting me up when everything else feels too much.
I don’t know if you’re even gonna see this but thank you for allowing me to be a tiny speck in the amazing community that is the Cim Fam and I hope you know how helpful you are. You guys have comforted me a lot and I’m just so grateful.

It’s crazy because this puts into perspective how much work it is to keep a band successfully going. I’ve listened to y’all for like 10+ years & it’s amazing to see how far Cimorelli has come in so many different ways ❤

I love getting insights like this. I would have liked to have the time shown in the video occasionally, because I had no feeling at all for how long you were working on stuff, when you started/ended your work days, when you took breaks, ... Other than that, the editing was great and really funny.

@@MentalGirlPodcast Yeah I know that 💯% as I see my Sisters, and Mom to do many work. I'm also an youtuber, but I also somehow struggles to manage to collect the RUclips stuffs, filming it, editing it for better experience, uploading it, and also do the job and other works stuff :)
