This video shows the installation procedure for LED replacement bulbs in the 2015 and up Ford Mustang. This applies to all models. Visit diodedynamics.com to find bulbs for your vehicle, in your choice of colors and brightness levels.

Just got mine today, and the install was easy for some spots and not so much for others.
On my '18 GT, the vanity bulbs were no problem. But once you pop the covers off, just go ahead and unscrew the whole mirror assembly. Doesn't add any real time, and makes it easier. The maps were easy, but pulling the housing off was worrisome. Now mine doesn't seat all the way back to the roof. Not terrible, but not factory fresh. With the glove box, just go ahead and remove the small assembly that holds the bulb because these LED's are bigger at the insert points, and don't just slide right in. Absolutely wrecked the connectors in the socket and had to disassemble the housing to get it back to working order. The housing is just a pop out/in piece, and undo the small electrical connection and you have it right there in your hand to make sure the bulb goes in OK. Discounting the fix, this only added maybe two minutes to the whole process, and trust me, it's worth knowing you're not screwing something up.
Lastly... my '18 already has LED's in the trunk stock, so now I have an extra/spare/un-needed bulb for future use.

Hello, I have a problem and when I change the trunk light of a 2015 mustang, the Led move light does not work and when I try to replace the original bulb it does not work either. I checked the fuse box and everything is fine. If anyone knows anything. Thanks

What color bulb was used in the video? Cool white or pure white?

Bought the interior bulb kit in red for a 2019 mustang, but no trunk light bulb included, what size do I need to purchase here to complete the setup.
Hey there! The trunk light bulb for the 2019 models are LED from factory. This is why we don't offer a replacement. Sorry about that!

@@SuperMan88Strong You could run on of our red Flex Strips in the trunk and splice it into the power wire for the rear LED.

Problem. Didn't listen to you on the trunk light. Blown fuse. Owners manual doesn't specify which one it is. Any ideas?

Carter Russell *****, the replacement fuse for these lights should be the #1 fuse (10 amp) located on the passenger side of the vehicle. When installing these, try and only use the flat-head screwdriver to help pry the old bulb out, without sticking the small flat head in or near the socket. Found this video after I blew the fuse. The type of fuse is micro2. Almost impossible to find in Europe.
Welp I tried to follow the video for the trunk light but when I used the flathead I broke something and the pins for the connector don't line up and got bent....
Checked the fuse and it's not blown

Great product. Just a question. Stage 1 vs Stage 2, how noticeable the difference is ? will stage 2 be too bight ? not looking for anything that blinds me

What are the Bulb models that where installed on the 2015 Mustang's map and trunk lights?

HP3 or HP5 were installed in the video?
956VasquezIII We used HP3s in this particular video, but also did testing on the HP5s. HP5s fit great as well!
I have a slight problem. Everything installed great in the mustang except for one thing, my map light console won't dismount from the roof.
I was pulling according to your video, and every other one I could find on the internet and mine actually dislodged from the fabric and is almost hanging. Still mounted onto the clips, they are breaking/bending off the roof before the clips disengage.
Any advice? :(
it's actually separated from the ceiling on the driver's side right now, the light escapes through the gap.
I am hoping once I get it off I can fix the mounting hardware or whatever is causing it to hang. Worst case scenario I can pop off the light covers and get some possible scratches.
I had the same drama. I just persisted until it came out (clips n all) then re shaped all the mounting clips before I pressed it back in. It is fine.
Todd Nicholson what do you mean by reshape? I have the same problem but mine still isn’t flush with the roof.
Thanks for the comment reminder. I was able to pull and hold it down long enough to pry the clips off, Turns out the left clip was too tight and just detached from the map console frame resulting in the hang. After I had it dismounted, I was able to snap the clip back in place and it's fine. By reshaping he was referring to bending the metal clips I imagine. Just bend them until they are slightly looser.
I used a flat head screwdriver to pry the clips down and bent them a bit in the process. Just make sure to reset them to the original shape as best you can so the console presses back up nice n tight.
The Aussie and Euro Mustangs don't have a bulb. Sealed unit.
Even the vanity mirror and map light ? What about the reverse light ?
i was installing the interior kit and when I finished the vanity, glove and trunk lights stop working and i dont know why, help please

the trunk wire isnt coming off so I just got the bulb out with a flathead... ITS NOT WORKING and the bulb isnt fitting. HOW DO I GET THE TRUNK WIRE OFF THE BULB ASSEMBLY?
sorry for caps but this is a fucking pos. Also I an pretty sure I blew a fuse or something since my trunk, glove, and vanity lights arn't working. My map lights aren't either when I open the door but when I hit the button, it works. Shouldn't have bothered with this electrical work....
