    Howdy! ChadTheCreator here. I built around 60 to 70% of this game and coded 100% of it. Whitman Bay, Fort Shad, and the Den were the locations I didn't have much of a hand in (other than designs).
    It was fun to see another person come back to this game and explore it for nostalgia. I got a good laugh when the artillery shell literally landed on your car lol. This ATF game was the only one I'd say was not post-apocalypse but was rather more like post-post-apocalypse RP or dystopian RP. In 2016 it was my proudest creation, and it makes me happy to know there's people out there who have good memories of this game. Deep Six is one of those games that still has a cult following and some people playing it in certain places. You could definitely still RP on the game mostly like it was in the old days (minus the Vietnam-era music) - though as we get older we can go back to these games for nostalgia but it will never quite be the same as our original time with it. Deep Six is the first ATF game to make any income for me and it helped me build up into doing this full-time after college. ATF8 is out now and I see no stopping in the future! You're always welcome to join that game as well.
    Great video production as well. Having the face camera and mic is a fantastic way to pull people into your videos and keep viewers engaged.

      Hello ChadTheCreator! I'm so glad you stopped by to watch my video, that's huge to me because I always wanted to meet you back in the day. Just thinking 7 years later now I get to see one of my favorite ROBLOX game creators/devs watching my video is amazing. Honestly I never thought the future would be like this and I'm so happy and I cant even explain my emotions right now.
      Thank you for giving information on what you did for the game, and thank you for creating games in general. Back in the day ATF Deep Six was huge to me it was like honestly my favorite game haha I'd come home from school just to play it. Honestly the nostalgia and just good memories hit so hard when I was playing it, I had a blast revisiting your game and I hope to play more of your ATF games. I'm also glad you got a good laugh when the artillery shell hit, I thought that was absolutely crazy and so random so hilarious though lol. Thank you for explaining the RP type as well I been trying to figure that out for a while lol. I am glad to hear in 2016 it was your proudest creation because this game was an absolute masterpiece. All the work from you and your team that was put into this is fantastic, and especially for back in the day this game was ahead of the times. I was hoping to find some people throughout time to play the game with me, but sadly I lost all touch with many people. I do see that there's many people time and time I see that share and enjoy the nostalgia together on your game. I also agree that Deep Six definitely for sure still has a cult following and people do for sure play it in certain places. I will try to RP on it sometime I need to find a group of people and sadly I have no friends that play it anymore or well at least nowadays lol. The music was so cool too I enjoyed the music, and I'm so sad that ROBLOX copyrighted tons of music. I absolutely love looking back at old games and enjoying them for the nostalgia for sure maybe it won't be the same as our original time with it I agree, but your ATF games will always place a good spot in my mind and heart. Again like I said when playing your games when I was younger it really opened up a portal to see that this is the ROBLOX future of games, and what I mean is that the design the graphics the looks just like everything in your games look like the future. I'd say that you have HUGE potential and so as your team with creating amazing games. I really do wish you and your team best luck and best wishes and I hope the future will be very bright. I'm also glad to hear that Deep Six was the first game to make you income because I hope it also helped you with doing things in college as well, and I'm so happy you decided to put full time into it after college. If I may ask what did you go for in college or what did you really want to study or learn? I definitely need to check out ATF8 that sounds like it would be a good time, and definitely do not stop your dreams or never stop doing what you love. I will try to make time to join ATF8 and when I do I'll make sure to document it and put it on RUclips! I also forgot to join your group After The Flash Advisory Board on my main ROBLOX account "FrystaRetty" so I will do that right now! I'm super excited to see you here though thank you so much for everything and all the hard work and time you and your team put into this. Again I wish you best wishes and good luck and I hope the future will be amazing. Thank you ChadTheCreator you really made my day! Also thank you so much for subscribing I hope you will enjoy what the FrystaRetty channel has! Also thank you so much for taking time out your day to watching my video I hope you enjoyed it! :) I almost forgot thank you so much for saying great video production as well, I also agree that having a face camera and microphone definitely keeps viewers engaged. I'm so happy to hear you say that because sometimes I'm not sure if what I create is good or not but we all have to start somewhere to improve. Have a great day, stay safe, stay chillin, stay uplifted, and follow your dreams ChadTheCreator!

      @@FrystaRetty I'm glad to hear it!
      As for my college degree, I went to school for Computer Science. If you're trying to go to college to get into Video Game Development, my recommendation is always to focus on coding and making extracurricular games in your free time. Coding is always a sought-after job and pays well in AAA as well as indie.

      @@ChadTheCreator Computer science is very good and pays super good too. My friend is actually going to college for that and it sounds like amazing work. I've always thought Video Game Development was such a cool thing to do, I thought about something like that younger now as time progressed I really enjoy editing also making all my RUclips content myself. I hope to get into music production someday as well it has really caught my interest. I think coding is definitely very useful and is very good for nowadays, it can get you some really good jobs I mean you could make a business off of coding lol. I will definitely look into making game making or just coding eventually though it sounds super fun, and I bet it does pay well. Thank you for the recommendation and advice it means a lot!

      I'd love to see the possibility of the events feature that occurred in Deep Six to make a comeback to add lore. I know it's probably not going to be possible at this time. But if theres ever a chance it comes back up if it fits to the game + story, I'd love to see it. Maybe an official remastered of Deep Six with the newer features added to ATF with a larger player base definitely understand that its unlikely! But hey, I'm just glad your still doing ATF...and cant wait for the future features + updates to come. I've really enjoyed these games as a kid, and now I'm more into RP stuff. Ive even imagined someone making a steam game related to ATF haha! As well as an Arma scenario where the conflict between USCPF and MEB is re-created...which actually does seem possible, just dont think it has enough attention outside of roblox to be a thing. But I hope you see this, and just want you to know me among thousands are very grateful for your work.

      @@ChadTheCreator I've also recreated my own personal version with the inspiration of Deep 6 and 6.5's location: "The Den." using your prop placer tools, and the underground sewer...gotten many comments about it saying it was awesome. Would love to see that make a comeback in the future which seems a little more in the league of possibilities haha :)

    I don't know if the creator of the video knows, but if you go into After The Flash: Wintertide [8], if you go to Bargetown square, and look around, The Soup Shark is still there and still exists.

    Former MR rank of CDF here.
    Just saw this video when I regained access into my youtube channel again (this one to be exact) and man... this video took me back so hard, that I just logged off of Roblox after visiting D6 and ATF5 after years of inactivity in the community.
    Way back when in 2015, I'm talking back to the late night Skype group calls before discord was even considered an option, just hanging out, creating the most insane and captivating RP scenarios we could come up with. Letting our minds roam free, was very much simpler times, I wish I could have those times back.
    I've dove through many sub factions and main factions with my old group of friends, we were the owners of Southside Brewing Company, HR's in the PRT Marshals, hell... one of our friends even ran a fanfac group for Whitman Bay's restaurant. My character was a beefy russian immigrant who was the head chef for that restaurant XD
    The countless hours I've put into this community, the days off from school I would take to attend huge event, I do not regret any of this one bit.
    I can't express how much this community has changed my teenage years, and I especially cannot thank Chadthecreator for making such an amazing series that kept me hooked to my laptop from the age of 14 to the age of 17.😆
    Thank you so much for making this video, it was an amazing trip down memory lane. I'm 23, about to be 24 in a month. working a full time job, and just getting by in life. Nostalgia truly is an amazing feeling, sad yes, but amazing nonetheless.

      Great comment and thanks for stopping by, and speaking your mind about lots of things!
      I'm glad to hear you have regained access to your RUclips channel again, I hope the visit to the games were worth it!
      I remember Skype times as well it takes me pretty far back, I remember even using Steam as a way of speaking as well.
      Discord definitely changed a lot of things, but I really enjoy how far Discord has come with all their amazing features.
      I loved hanging out with my group of friends as well, I think the ATF games were a great place to meet new people.
      Indeed the Roleplay scenarios were amazing, just really allowing your brain to free roam was the best. I always loved stories even creating things too so definitely free roaming with my brain was fun. I also agree that times were easier back then and simpler too for me as well. Sadly I've lost contact with a lot of my ATF buddies, but I hope that you still have contact with yours. I think it's very cool and interesting that you and your friends were the owners of Southside Brewing Company, even HR's in the PRT Marshals. Haha that's funny what you said about the Whitman's Bay Restaurant pretty big RP spot, another funny thing is I bet we have ran across each other in game because your character backround sounds very familiar lol. (What is your ROBLOX user if I may ask) I'm extremely glad to hear that the community has changed your teenage years it did for me as well, and I'm sure for others too. Haha, I was hooked to a lot of ATF games as well, big shoutout to ChadTheCreator / team they for sure he developed super great games! You're very welcome for the video, I'm really happy you stopped by and took your time to watch it really means a lot to me! I'm glad you could think of all the good times also good memories. When you turn 24 Happy Birthday to you I wish you the best in life, I hope you get far as well too. I hope you're happy with your job, I'm glad to hear you're getting by in life as well. I agree with you the nostalgia is a very amazing feeling, and indeed sad and super amazing agreed as well.
      I wish you the best keep your head up, stay positive, stay chillin!

    Yeah, I played it, from 2018 to 2020, I was naïve in 2020, also, the whole vibe reminds me of the Vietnam War, dunno why.
    I remember playing it in 2018, it was my first “After the Flash” game, I thought the guns would cause damage, oh the memories..
    During the Pandemic, I played it, the memories involved cringy roleplay, that’s more nostalgic to me now.
    Those were the days.
    Also, I reference Southside in other stuff, mainly a scrapped “Hotline Miami” styled game, mainly Wrong Number, basically I wanted a Dale Cooper like character to do some investigation in a small town in Georgia, called Southside, in 1969, it was supposed to be a small bit of the whole story.

      Very interesting game I'm not necessarily sure where it takes place I forget it's been a while haha. You started out with an amazing After the Flash game, and I thought guns would do damage as well lol. I remember checking it out during the pandemic as well very old memories, but indeed such a good game also community of people!

    • @Okaythereas
      @Okaythereas Год назад

      I’m referencing this in a novel I’m working on right now, mainly a small tid-bid where a train goes through a checkpoint, the checkpoint is inspired by the bridge, mainly the whole vibe, and a sign, which has the same words of “YOU ARE NOW LEAVING THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, on that topic, the town where the train arrives in has a similar vibe to Southside, but it’s more smaller, and more strict, some things might change, such as the train likely being changed to a bus, other than that (there are some changes, like it’s in California or Arizona or Nevada) (also, i cringed rp for a while, dunno.)
      UPDATE:
      I fully referenced the PRT as the Republic of Tidewater, the town of Southside is also a real town in Savannah, Georgia! I mixed the fictional stuff with the in game one, also ATF DW also sort of influenced half of the thing (has anyone heard of DW?), also, the borders of the Republic of Tidewater, and some other stuff, align *perfectly* with D6.

    • @Okaythereas
      @Okaythereas Год назад

      also, it takes place in 2115, but it feels like a mix of a small town American (and Canadian) town, the 1960s, what it feels like to live on the Korean DMZ, mainly in a small village, Vietnam in the 1960s (on that DMZ), due to the whole vibe, 1960s music and others (they used some songs we always associate with the Vietnam War, also, D6 made me love nature, since it’s beautiful scenery made me love the outside world) - cheers, Bobzus
