.....and I wouldn't call them elementary, either. Both lines look together, they're effectively showing the ability to listen to each other, and they're comfortably playing rudiments beyond the international 40.
I'm interested in knowing mr trojan just who are you and whst credentials fo you have bring yourself or anyline to 901 i promise you wont ever use the word elementary and memphis in the same sentence from the words of TRE POPS
.....now that I've said this, I'm typing as I'm watching. The ones on the right have VERY creative solo challenges....however, it seems as though the ones on the left sound better together as a line. The line on the right (light blue shirts) really seemed to come together at the end, but the dark blue shirts were more consistent. Solos: Right Side Full drumline: Left Side At the end of the day, it's a drumline battle, so I give it to the left. Both guys were great, though.
I definitely wouldn't call them dirty. Their drums are tuned low because they obviously follow JSU's style, and that's common. Predominately black high schools and community ensembles usually pattern their styles after a prominent college in the particular area. Plus, they're battling with original material, not outright counterfeits of others' cadences. Some may not be used to it, and that's fine. There were some moments of lost clarity, but neither line was blatantly dirty.
My biggest concern is that it seemed like there were times that one section would interrupt the other. At least let them finished....even if you are amped up to go. I love intense battles as much as the next guy, but I still think that there should be a respect had.
shiiiiiiiid to be real we had 2 more BUT it is what it is, and the reason I had the mindset to embarrass Jackso in the 1st place is bcuz this same stuff that's being said was said last year, im about proving points and leavin others lookin stupid but its over, good shid...
