Safeguarding explained - Part 1

This RSH animation explains what safeguarding is, how safeguarding issues may occur in the humanitarian and development sector, and what measures organisations can put in place to prevent and respond to it. It is inspired by a longer animation originally created by the RSH Nigeria Hub, which is available here in 14 languages.
Broadly, safeguarding means preventing harm to people - and the environment - in the delivery of development and humanitarian assistance. To do this, organisations must focus on preventing and responding to issues that arise within their organisation as well as those that happen as a result of the organisations interaction with the community. This video consists of two parts.
