Marche is doing his best ❤ I am sure it is very hard to balance 6 people and he is live cutting the show and it gets released less than 24 hours after it is filmed.
The surprising thing is i'm pretty sure there a audio tech helping them on that aspect.

marche is doing way too much, like producing the pod and editing for the day after is insane. he should be able to hire an editor at this point.

that's exactly what i was thinking!! i always test them by giving them my phone number but messing up one digit so it just looks like a mistake. some men get so angry and dangerous if you just say no or outright tell them you can't trust them. it can be so risky

Someday, during an episode, I will come to the pleasant realization that the audio balancing was spot-on, as I haven't noticed anything. As a fellow video editor myself, I know firsthand the difficulties that can come with working on audio. However, I have unwavering faith that someday you, Marche, will nail it. [winking_face]
Seems fine to me. Then again I listen to it with earbuds so maybe it’s not noticeable to me. All the ducking seems like it’s people turning their heads away from the mic which can be fixed in mix but it would take forever.

I know we're joking with the "woman hour" bit, but it always makes me sad when QT gets interrupted or talked over. Girl can barely get two sentences in before someone cuts in. I'm probably taking it too seriously but when that's such a big reality for so many women it hurts to see it on one of the better guy podcasts out there, even if it's a joke.
Also, thanks ted for paying attention to QT when she was talking. It's dumb but it means a lot.
Honestly, same. I get it, they're not interested in what she's saying but it's still so frustrating that she couldn't even get her point across. She still listens when it's a subject that might not be super interesting to her, so why can't they do the same, right? Anyway, I still love the podcast it's just frustrating.
It’s honestly so cool seeing all these people my age doing cool stuff with their lives, it’s a small thing, but it gives me the extra strength to keep going for my goals when I feel down.

This was my first Fear& episode (I came from Chuckle Sandwich) and it made me listen to a lot of the other ones, and I’m realizing this one was kind of mid lmao. It’s really frustrating how little the guests get to talk (and how none of the topics actually interest them); not that the hosts are boring, I love them and their solo episodes are the funniest to me, but this definitely doesn’t feel like a great podcast to have guests on.
Both Will’s March Madness thing and QT’s celeb drama really didn’t land, esp with the guests (Schlatt even complained about it on The Yard lmfao). Ted actually trying to listen to QT was very sweet though. Just saying I think it might help if you guys prepare questions for the guests in the future!
this comes off really passive agressive, especially because fear& would never see this and a lot of people like this format ( including me) because viewers already know the guests. the demographic for this podcast is usually people who engage in the twitch community and they wouldnt need a generic interview that happens on most pods imo
