This is the magnificent Tarja (Tar-ya) Turunen, a co-founder of the band, a legend in symphonic metal circles, who was with them for 9 years. Of the band's 10 albums, she's on the first 5, which means that the majority of all the songs you hear in the Wacken concert were originally recorded / made famous with Tarja (or off the following 2 albums, recorded with Annette, the 2nd singer). The awesome Floor is on the final 3 albums, but during that particular concert, she had just come aboard the bandwagon and was basically singing cover songs, so if you grab any of the earlier albums, those don't have Floor. Great reaction!

Marco is the bassist and also sings the Phantom part in this song. Tarja’s voice is more operatic than Floor’s, they both are excellent singers. And Marco, of course! 🔥🤘

Sarah Brightman did a better job of this song in the original Opera of Phantom of the Opera. A must watch for anybody who likes a somewhat operatic musical.
Well this is my favourite version of this song. I really like how Marko plays the role as an outright monster/demon with gravelly threatening vocals rather than the way it's usually done. Plus the two of them in duet complement each other so well.
