- Silver is a big big world and can be overwhelming if you don’t know what you’re looking at. In this video I have all the basics and descriptions of different kinds of silver and who makes it.
Disclaimer- I am not a financial advisor, I’m just a guy passionate about gold, silver and numismatics, please do not make any purchases or sales based on my videos. What I say in this video is just my opinion.

There are Morgan Dollars that are in $100000 to $700000 range . ( 1889 CC $300000 for an example ) . I get coins , bars & generic rounds . What ever I can afford .
There are some stupid crazy coins out there!
Great video again tonight. Watched with the girlfriend and we both enjoyed it very much. She was there to open the package of junk silver with me the other day. And wanted watch your show with me so she did. Congrats on your new fan I'm gonna get her to like and subscribe or she's going to sleep in the car....lol but seriously.
Haha you’re the man Greg! I cherish our friendship and thank you for the support
@@StatesideStash no sweat brother I'm happy that you keep making these great videos for stackers of all types and stages of their stack. As usual, keep up the good work and stay in touch.
I just picked up one of them Johnson matthey 10oz bars with a bit of toning on it
Toning on bars are amazing!
SilverDadKnows here. I’ve made it to the promised land 🎉
Appreciate you brotha!
If you can find an LCS that sells junk at spot, take advantage! As far as premiums, I wouldn't pay more than $5.00 and that's still high imo, but good luck finding a bullion dealer out there that sells it for anything less (not counting online dealers because they have hidden fees and that's why the premiums are so low). I guess it might be different depending on where you live, but Stateside is 100% correct when he says "do your research first"
I find constitutional silver at spot I’m buying out the whole shop!
@@StatesideStash The pawn shop by me I mentioned sells me whatever Junk/Constitutional he gets at spot. He obviously buys it for less. I'd never sell to him 😂
Great content as always. Always educating the community. Keep up the hard work. I see your channel growing fast
Thank you brother. Grows fast with awesome subscribers like yourself. Love your videos
Thank you. It's a work in progress. Just trying to figure out what people wanna see
💯 # the basics is always great content.
Greatly appreciate kicking out the knowledge to us !!!!
💯 God. BLESS.
Appreciate you Bradley! Hope you have a great weekend
Ya had to show us the kilo Libertad didn't ya? Keep putting together these good videos and this channel will keep growing as it is now. I'm also leaning more and more towards constitutional. Generic rounds, mostly buffalos, more than anything. By a long shot. Then 10 oz bars, then maples, then eagles.
Gonna show that thing off as much as I can 🤣
Out of everything you listed I highly recommend constitutional silver
I am one of those returning to stacking after a long layoff.
Videos like this are not only informative but also entertaining.
Thanks for sharing.
I hope this was in some way helpful!
Great video for beginning stackers. Keep it up!!
Thanks brother!
Let’s be honest … does the price matter if it was already $50 2 times & there’s less silver available & more demand than before? … well yes if you are not in good health & don’t have life insurance yet then it does matter… & if you don’t have stocks then it matters .. but if you got multiple buckets & your bases are covered then silver & golds upside is like a fine wine! … just let it appreciate … maybe you won’t ever have to sell it & the next generation can keep the accumulation going … the goal is to have assets .. not cash!
I have 500+ oz of silver
265 oz in bars
110 oz in coins
125 oz in rounds
The rest is junk/numismatics.
I love all of it. My favorite is probably the coins... especially the Canadian Maples and armenian noahs arks. I wish the eagles looked cooler. I capped myself to a tube of 20 of those.
Nice stack!
I have been stacking silver for a little 2 decades, at first I bought several 100 ounce bars I then started buying eagles and generic rounds, about 6 years ago I started buying only 90% pre 1965 coins I really like dimes and quarters I try to buy at least $300 worth every month
You have a solid schedule!
I was wondering if those Congo Silverbacks is it made by Scottsdale because I’m confused it’s made by Scottsdale or the Congo government?? I have 2 of those by the way
Yes Scottsdale mints those!
Scottsdale makes them for the government.
Big like 72 and subscribed! Excellent video and thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Excellent content. All information i knew but I watched every second because this is information that needs to be out there.
Thank you Scott! Hope this helps someone out there!
Great service for new or novice stackers. Cheers 🥃
Thanks brother!
Great video for beginners! Very informative.
Thanks brotha!
Not first!
🤣
I suspect that my LCS holds a lot of cash outside of the banking system. As a courtesy, when I withdraw cash from my credit union to buy gold and silver, I always ask for the crispest, newest bills available. When I was growing up, all bank withdrawals were automatically in new bills. Nowadays, almost never. Sad. Many such cases...
It’s rare I receive crisp new bills
Good info here... Back to basics! 👊🏼
That’s where it all starts!
Although I’ve been buying Ag over the past few months, it has been cut back. But After the shock of spot going from 23 to 29/31+ I’m getting heavier back in the game. More 10ozers. 1/4 gold and even back into 1 Oz rounds a little. Thanks bro
Thanks for watching brotha! Can’t go wrong with those 10oz bars
Great video. Spot is determined by the precious metals futures markets like COMEX, GLOBEX, LBMA.
I’m not sure I agree with a premiums = tax analogy. Someone had to buy a pallet of 1,000 oz COMEX bars, pay for transportation, pay to process it into smaller portions, make the dies, buy the equipment, pay for electricity, pay for the building, rent the store, etc. premiums = profit and there is nothing wrong with profit. I won’t work for free. Neither will the people providing me with a 1 oz silver round, and I don’t expect them to.
Yeah maybe referring to it as a tax wasn’t the best terminology. Thanks!
Don't forget about the war nickles with constitutional silver
I was only talking 90%. Other than that I’d throw in the war nickles and 40% Kennedys after 1964
Another great information packed video. Thanks.
Thanks brother!
Good Information for the up and comers. Wish this would have been around when I started. Best thing you can do is stack with knowledge
Hey Todd I appreciate that. I hope this video helps someone
I buy all types. Bars, rounds, coins, 90%, I think it’s good to have some of everything but I gravitate more towards coins and 90%
I do love my 90%!
I have those commander coins too. I paid extra for the napoleon becuase I waited too long. It won’t matter though once I have the complete collection
Aren’t they cool? I wonder who the next is gonna be
Great video full of great info! I prefer 1oz rounds, then coins, then 1oz bars, then silver in any form like silverware or jewelry and then poured stuff.
I still haven’t bought any silverware, something I may look into
@@StatesideStash I just keep an eye out for it at flea markets, garage sales and antique stores but the antique stores usually want way too much for it under it being silver and old. But most of what I have came from family members that have passed.
Great video!
Thanks JP!
All of it, silver is Silver. However I tend more twords vintage.
I enjoy vintage bars
Holy moly big bar ❤ me like keep on making these videos brother ✊
Will do razor! Thank you!
Gen x er, here I despise shorts, actually prefer longer videos...
I usually like to stick with 12 min vids. Start losing people’s attention after that
I love long videos as well. I love soaking up all of the info that I can.
@@seanwilkins528 I can do more, I just don’t wanna bore people
@@StatesideStash it's your channel brother and most people would love to hear you talk about silver. We all want to put our hard earned fiat into assets such as precious metals. God's money is sound money!! Your channel is very informative for someone like me that just started out.
Great video for new stackers! I will say the reason why LCSs don't take Credit Cards has nothing to do with tax. My state charged sales tax on Gold/Silver until a couple months ago. All online dealers, ebay and every LCS charged you tax. You wouldn't last long as a LCS if you don't collect required taxes. The reason is the spread (margins buy/sell $$) that bullion dealers work with. If you pay 3-4% credit card FEEs and work with a 5% spread you will close down. That is why online dealers take credit cards but charge you the FEEs (around 3%) plus sales tax if state required...
Interesting. I’ve only been to one LCS that takes card and I got hit with tax
@@StatesideStash they are supposed to charge sales tax on supplies, books, tubes ect. Was probably using the standard tax rate to cover the credit card fees.. my LCS charged tax on supplies, use to charge on gold and silver. Only takes cash, wire, Zelle, checks from regulars..
eBay doesn’t charge tax and you can use a credit card
@@numberstreets they don’t for me now, they did 3 months ago when my state taxed bullion. You are correct about the credit card fees..
My lcs takes credit cards and debit cards no fees or tax then the said price. Just bought a half oz koala for 19$ flat on card for my fathers day gift to my dad.🎉
Hey Stateside, are the 2022 Morgan dollars from FIJI worth a 💩? 🤔 Just wondering
👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I don’t like them. Only Morgan’s I’ll by are the original 90% silver ones
@@StatesideStash kinda my thoughts too, thanx
I’m super erratic with my stack. I’ll really like one thing for a while like ten oz bars and that’s what I’ll stack then I’ll just want maples or junk. My stack has a little bit of everything.
That’s a good thing!
@@StatesideStash I like it that way 😁
💪🇨🇦🇮🇹
My favorite is the 100 oz bars. I love feeling the weight of my stack.
What’s your favorite bar?
@@StatesideStash una and the lion royal mint 100 oz 9999
Finally. Thank you!
Ofcourse! I hope this helps!
Denomination at stores should go by every place to buy coins current prices Period
Bring back the gold standard
@@StatesideStash or open stores that will take.
How does gold back work to set denomination to use in some stores when it's not printed by any mints or is it ?
Thanks brotherman!! Good review
Thank you for watching! You have a good weekend?
Yessir! Has been a very long busy 12 days. Just got done with a week long wedding event & now I just got done playing a jazz gig. Can’t wait to buy either silver or a 1/10 ounce gold tomorrow. How about you? Hope you had a good one!
@@Jmoney1981 took my family to the cabin so it was nice and relaxing!
My answer to "what kind of stacker are you?" is "YES"! I enjoy stacking all of it. Thanks for the very informative video.
Can’t go wrong with owning it all!
First 👊🏼
My man!!!
I first thought LCS stood for was licensed Coin Dealer
@@go4it129 that would be LCD
@@go4it129 You're right. Unless your local coin store/shop doesn't have a business license. 😂
Hi Stateside! Great introduction to the hobby. I like the Scottsdale products. Also paid a good premium for Geiger too.
I still don’t own any Geiger, I need to look into picking some up
True, but that’s not what I thought when I first saw LCS was my point 🙂👍🏼
Oh ok I Gotchya!
Nice tray. Where do you find that?
Got it off Amazon. It’s just a jewelry tray
Why does every coin blog reference the litoral combat ship? How is it relevant. Is it the singal hull version, the trihull version, or both?
Combat ship?
@StatesideStash yep, the Litoral Combat Ship. It was meant to be a modular platform that can do shallow water and be out fitted for a bunch of different missions. That's the problem with TLA's, sometimes they have multiple meanings.
Boy was MY fave red when people at work started talking about CBT. THEY meant Computer Based Training, but the first place MY mind went was Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. 🤪
Where are you getting round for 50¢-$1 over spot?????
My LCS. Actually 2 out of the 3 of my LCSs
You're fortunate then because they range from $1.50-$2.00 over by me
Bullion shop ive gone to is out of stock on a lot of things today. They just reupped after the last spike
What are they out of?
@StatesideStash they had buffalos and some maples left. 10 ozt and 100 ozt bars too.
Forgot to state missing. Eagles, brits, krugs, roos, phils, and libertads
Tell everyone how you are just pushing silver for a sponsor. This video is nothing more than an infomercial. Lets see how fast this faker blocks my comments and I have to use another account lol
Hey welcome back! lol I don’t have sponsors 🤣 just a video for beginners. I’m sorry a small channel as myself upsets you so much but every comment and view helps so thanks for commenting!
Settle down.
Do you have to change accounts often 😳
What do you use for tracking? I want an iOS app but if a suitable one doesn’t exist so be it. What is your process?
For tracking spot?
@@StatesideStash for tracking purchases. I could use an excel sheet for price paid, quantity, full metal quantity, but do you have a program or app that makes this easier?
@@mightykingmalard I just did a video on this last week. There’s three ways I track, I personally keep a physical log book. But go find that video and read people’s comments cause they had a lot of great ideas
@@StatesideStashgot it. I watched the video and a physical record is most practical from a certain perspective but i prefer digital. I’ll look at those comments.
