ok guys listen to me.. I bought this exact same car and before I did I was watching this video wondering if it’s worth it or not to get a convertible and after 2 months with the car I just came back to comment here in this same video that it was absolutely worth every dollar.. the joy of driving a convertible is just something that I never experienced in any other car plus the style and quality of BMW is just something else. I also have to mention that I live in Miami which is probably the best city to own a convertible and I really use the top open 95% of the time, the other 5% is just when it rains. If you have the chance just buy it.
@@fredsalfa what Italian cars like Alfa Romeo? Mercedes and Audi and bmw and all German cars are far superior in every aspect but I guess u have ur own reasons
@ of course. An issue with the piston ring design on cars before 2012 causes them to burn oil and gradually self destruct. Just Google Audi 1.8 piston ring issue. Not sure of the start year or which of the 2.0 engines are affected but I had to sell mine at a huge loss. I've seen others since, too. Shame, as the TT is such a well rounded car but I'm not sure I would go back to Audi after this. Dealer support for it was non-existent.
I'd dearly love an m240i in Tanzanite Blue with merino leather, but the headstrong cunts simply won't do it, no matter how much money you throw at them.
Anyone who can’t appreciate the difference between a nose heavy, FWD VW golf with a nicer interior, and a RWD 50:50 balanced semi-sports car doesn’t deserve anything above a Peugeot anyway.
you know a review is BS when the interior is described as "plush"...he's touching that bmw plastic which is textured like sandpaper. BMW interiors are notoriously below average...
They’re not good with their interiors but they definitely make it up with their engines in my humble opinion. If you want more luxurious interiors go for Mercedes. A similar class vehicle has much more in terms of interior lux. But the engine is not as powerful. I personally prefer a more power engine ☺️
No way. I'd be embarrassed to have any BMW on my drive. The stigma associated with BMW puts me off as the brand has become the choice of the arrogant & the yob as exampled by their driving. No longer a make of car to aspire too & owning one does NOT prove you have made it in life.
We drove to the south of France in my 1 series convertible last summer, it just had enough room to carry our suitcases etc, no way would a smaller 2 seater have done the job, also you can carry occasional passengers in the back

Too many convertibles in Miami are closed all year round. Good job actually enjoying this lifestyle!
@@dafaqking Absolutely! when I see someone with the top closed I´m like bro what are you doing?
Ive driven the 220i as a rental car its an excellent car. I would give it 10/10 and Im not even a fan of BMWs

A really good summary at the end there, thank you. I love my Audi TT but unfortunately the Audi engine issues are causing me to look around.

I like BMW 2 Series Convertible car review - Auto Trader

I love these cars- look much classier than the Audi
the hard thing is not buy this bmw the hard thing is choose the fucking color combination

Couldn’t give a shit about the badge, RWD & manual gearbox is all that matters
BMW > Audi *any* day.
are you referencing the low quality BMW interior materials or the horrendous turbo lag?
Never understood why people can't appreciate both. I've had an Audi and just got my first BMW, they are both tremendous automobile makers.

Offset pedals.....
Both brands are great.......while they are in warranty........
Why are the pedals offset to the right?
All bmws seem to have these pedals in the UK may be may be because they are the same ones used in normal lefthand drive cars
greathey1234 Thanks.
I have a 1 series convertible, the pedals aren’t offset
Is it not available with automatic transmission??
Jira Masino yes it is.
No automatics, you'll gonna lose all the fun shifting the gears.
Why can't you just use an iPad or a tablet instead of these tacky "high resolution tablet-style screen" you always hear about?
When does it will launch in india
It looks cute 😂😂😂😂

We have that problem in the states with Subarus and huge pickups.
Teens can’t really afford them in the states for the most part.
BMW 2 Series Convertible or Audi A3 Convertible ?
Audi TT is better than both. You can't use the rear seats anyway
