very very useful info or infos u gave us for absolute beginners regarding layers. i know its a old video but if u happen to read my comment, if we make the backgroung layer transparent before saving using any format which saves the document which retains the transparency will it still save it as a solid background or is it a must to delete the background layer before saving to retain the transparency. also why is there the background layer if it need to be deleted later and why is the background layer if we are gonna be working on with transparent layer. doesnt make any sense. whats the purpose of this background layer anyways. this really wasted a lot of my time thinking if its a solid layer then why is there the option to make it fully transparent and if we are gonna be working with transparent layers then why have a solid layer in the first place. hope u watch my comment and hopefully u can give your thoughts. also open to all for comments. thanks for this really critical topic and i subbed and liked.

Hi sir, What is the lock type of the background?
Hi, it's called the "background layer lock", or just a "lock".

Hi, is your layer in a group? If the group is locked, this will mean your layer is automatically locked too. Hope this helps!
I HATE this """feature""" sooo much urgh
